The end of the road. Back home. :>(

It was raining this morning but I headed out to the airport at 9am and arrived at 915am. There were 15 people at the Jet Blue line and no one from Jet Blue at the counter. The website said they open at 9am in Aruba. They arrived around 922a and took a few minutes to load up the luggage tag and call people. To cut to the chase the check in, both customs took 45 minutes. One lady was complaining at the gate to her husband that it did not make sense going thru security twice. I smiled and said, first timers to Aruba? Yes. I explained to them why they should appreciate going thru security twice and they were happy to know that they would go straight to baggage claim in NY. I'm surprised no one explained it to them because the jet blue counter started to explain it to me and I told them I knew the routine.

Ms Daisy did all that walking up to the gate and was tired but we had 2 hours until check in. I went to the Happy Bar to kill time and to get some pannini sandwiches for the plane. They are really good sandwiches for $6.00 and nicely pressed and warm.

I got to JKF at 5pm and I did get someone to wheel Ms Daisy to baggage claim because she was tired. Except I let the person go at luggage claim thinking the cab stand was outside as usual. Not this time! I only waited 10 minutes for luggage (miracle for NY) only to see a sign that the taxi stand was moved upstairs. Poor miss daisy had to walk to the end of luggage claim, take an elevator up stairs, walk across a long corridor and then take another elevator down to get to the taxi stand. However, she is now relaxing eating take out chineese and a glass of white wine.

Overall this trip was strange for me because I was exhausted all week without energy and slept a lot. The last 2 days I drank a powerade during the evenings and felt much better within 20 minutes. Maybe I was dehydrated who knows. I woke up feeling great this morning the day I was leaving go figure but it just meant that I got my rest on vacation.

Tomorrow i'm off from work but its back to work on Tuesday. However, I'm working from home on Tuesday so I won't be back in the office until Wednesday. Not bad right? Only 7 more years until retirement!

Thanks all for reading my trip report.

Glad you guys are safe. It really does sound like a classic case of dehydration. As many as 90% of people walk around daily in a state of partial dehydration.

Thank you for sharing so much of your trip & yourself! Glad Ms. Daisy broke even, losing nothing but completely enjoying her casino time. You've got a strong mom, who has obviously shared some of that strength with you before you were even born!
