I'm so glad that you and your husband were able to go on your trip, and that you had a good time, despite the issues at Divi. We love Manchebo, and you might also like Bucuti.

Please don't worry about the Divi, I believe we just had an "off year". We really do still love the Divi and I hope I did not come across too disappointed. Normally the beach is beautiful, nothing you could do with Mother Nature this year. I think if we return here we will try a different time of year when it is less busy and hope some of the problems are improved. I am not making any definite plans on anywhere for a while to see what the next year brings with my husband's health. I hope all the people who love the Divi or are considering the Divi still plan on going. My experience is chocked up to how sometimes you go to your favorite restaurant and have a disappointing experience but next time it is back to the way you love it. We still have a good time and actually went out and about more which we normally would not do. Enjoyed downtown more than usual and did tons of walking.

Forgot to mention, Rafael retired last Friday night after approx. 30 years. It was nice to wish him well and as I was coming from casino to cash in my roulette chips from a previous nights win Rafael was outside of the lobby watching fireworks which I believe were in his honor, how nice was that.

So glad that you got to go to Aruba.
Not so glad that your favorite place is now a bit less friendly.
If memory serves, that was Peg's issue as well and the reason that she changed resorts.
It might be time for you to consider switching as well.
I know that you love the area.
The Manchebo might be a good fit, except you want all inclusive?
Welcome home and thanks for your Aruba Story.
I will probably research some resorts, I know I walked into the Manchebo and fell in love with it, DH thought it would be too quiet for him? I met a lady at Pega Pega who owns at ABC and was willing to rent me her place and it was a great price. Bucati always beautiful both during my walks and the webcam, never did go in to check out the rooms. Who knows where the next place will be but hopefully Aruba will be in our future again next year.
