What a day. Up at 3am and off to airport for 6am flight. Loaded plane on time and sat on runway for fog delay for 1.5 hours. Got off plane at Atlanta at 9:35 and Aruba flight was scheduled to depart at 9:55. We were at the end of concourse D and had to go to the other end to get on train to go to concourse E. We were 100 yards from gate 32 when they said last call for flight 655 to Aruba and thank God my wife runs marathons. We were the last ones on and they closed the doors. We were both schocked and happy we made it.

Great flight down landed 10 minutes early. Got through customs quick and stopped in and got vodka and Baileys for great price at duty free. Exited customs and got a Setar SIM card for my old unlocked IPhone 3G with data and cell time for $32.

Ricky from More 4 Less picked us up and we got our jeep for the trip. Drove to Renaissance Marina and checked in. Room is very nice. Surprised at some of the negative reviews on trip advisor. Went down to Blue bar and had happy hour and saw the cruise ships at dock. Since we had not stopped at store yet we walked behind Renn to grocery and got beer, drinks and snacks for room.

We walked over to Renn marketplace and had dinner at Hung Paradise. Ordered Mongolian beef fried rice, egg rolls, and chicken low mien with one gin and tonic for $43. Great deal.

Worn out will check back in tomm.

Thanks for taking the time during a very busy day to post. Hung Paradise is the best.
Glad you made it onto that connecting flight.

Friday morning went snorkeling at Mango Halto with Aruba Bob Snorkeling. Kent and Stuart are great guys and really know what they are doing. They have great equipment. In the past I have had issues with my mask fogging with their mask no issues at all. We saw beautiful coral and many different fish and a sunken boat. The water scooters they use really make it easy even for a beginner. Can't wait to go with them again in June.

After snorkeling returned to the Renn Marina pool. What a view with the cruise ships at port. My wife wanted to check out the Renn Island so we got on the boat in the lobby and headed over. Had a plane fly over landing at the airport that was literally on top of us. The island is very nice. It was 2:30 and no issues at all with Mosquitos. Drink prices were high. I did take my Bubba Keg and they did not say anything. We are going back tomorrow and I plan on taking a soft sided cooler.

Went to the Blue bar for happy hour. Had 6 beers and 2mudslides for $30. Not bad. After happy hour we walked the new trolley rail. It is going to be really nice. They are working at night on this. While walking we found Pizza and More. After seeing Tom and Stanley's reviews we gave it a try. We had a Greek salad and a suprema large loaded pizza and 4 Chills for a whopping $32. Very nice people and great food.

Going to drive a little this morning and go to Eagle and Palm beaches.

Yesterday we stopped at the new Superfoods. The place was packed. It is a very nice store with lots of choices. Lots of bread, cheese, and meat selections. If we need anything else from store while here we will go to Lings to stay away from the crowd.

We took a jeep ride up to the lighthouse. We enjoy looking at Boca Catalina, Catalina Cove, and Arashi when driving to lighthouse. The view is awesome from up there.

We headed to Palm Beach to have lunch at Scott's Brats. We had two sconnies and they were great. Good food and nice people. Look forward to trying out the brats.

After lunch we headed to Eagle Beach. We set up in front of LaCabana. Rented a beach chair for $5 and enjoyed the beach and water for the afternoon. We had our soft sided cooler packed with beer and water to keep us hydrated.

For happy hour we returned to the Blue bar at the Renn. For dinner we went to LG Smith's. my wife had Caesar salad, grouper, mixed vegetables, sautéed mushrooms, and chocolate cake. I had Caesar salad, filet, shrimp, sautéed mushrooms, spinach, and cream brûlée. My dinner was great but my wife's grouper and veggies were not seasoned much. We both had a glass of wine and I had a Dewars and tab was $91. Not bad for the atmosphere.

    More to come.
