Wow, you have wonderful children and it's because of you that you have raised them to do the right thing, so many others would have turned their back and walked away!! you should be very proud of them but also proud of yourself for the way you brought them up. Kudo's to you and to your children.

Thumbs up Mature Response of Two Young men

Nobody wants to get into trouble and the first reaction would be to just walk away. But the mature response of yourn two sons not only saved alife but set an example for all others who were present at the place and also for all who read the story. Great.

What a story. It could have had such a tragic ending. You should be the proudest parents. Nice job!

Thank you everyone for your comments but as I initially stated, my intent for posting was not to get kudos for my kids but rather as a reminder to parents to have frank talks with your kids about drinking.

While we were fairly strict with our kids compared to many of their friends but we did allow them to drink with us around 16 or 17 (keeping in mind our drinking age is 18/19 in Canada). We tried hard to remove the "forbidden fruit" and teach/show them about responsible drinking. That is not to say that as university students that didn't have some less than memorable experiences but they weren't afraid to tell us.

Again, thank all of you for the kind words.

I am sure that you could not be prouder of your sons expertise and calm in a very stressful situation. I hope the parents that take a few minutes to read this report make it a point to have their kids read it and stress that they should heed very good advice.

My opinion.
