Our terrific trip
Well we left boston on a very cold (5 degrees) morning 8:00 direct flight on jetblue were delayed about 1/2 hr. Then departed for the nice warm weather.
Was not a problem at either airport.. flew through aruba's airport no problem I was anticipating it being terrible on a sat but nope.. Bully picked us up right out front and we proceeded to the marriott surf club. Little line checking in but its paradise so unwind. We were on the 4th floor nice view of pool end unit. Unpacked, changed and headed out for dinner, we ended up just going over to Smokey joes for ribs as we were all beat after traveling. Walked around a little checked out the new mall not much open yet. Then went back to relax and there were a ton I mean a ton of kids running a muck all over the place climbing on the rocks near pool screaming ringing our bell and running away very very unruly kids. OH BOY called security it didn't help much still yelling at 11;00pm I was thinking oh crap not this during my vacation.. Well luckily they were all leaving the next day...ahhhhhhhh.....tons of people complaining in the elevators next day that had been there all week.. Next day Sun off to the pool b right and early I was out there with everyone else at 7;00 a.m. with my coffee, went up for breakfast then down again and sat by pool all day.. floated in lazy river, walked down to beach for a dip...boy what a life. Sunday night we had reservations at El Gaucho (haven't been there to eat since 1st trip 15yrs ago.) it was very good the guitar player stopped and played a few songs nice touch. The only thing I have a problem with is the wooden dishes but whatever. Well I will continue in a bit have to put dinner on I am home now you know. Oh forgot on Sunday we went to Ling and sons for some food, and yes they had real milk but boy hard to find 1/2 and 1/2

Well on Monday we rented a car and took our friends around the island (they had never been) went to all the usual spots came back went for a swim Then headed out to Sole Mare for dinner. My husband and I shared the spaghetti al formaggio (pasta in the giant cheese wheel) was terrific as usual.. Then we walked around marriott went to the casino for a while. We don't really gamble just went to check it out... sit in the lobby and have a drink. Then to bed boy do I sleep great when in aruba.
Tuesday I met up with Mamudduck, her and my friend and I went in town shopping (no cruise ships in) had lunch at Iguana Joes bought a few items didn't get back till 4;00....boy but the weather was showery that day..we went to Casa Tua for pizza and a salad that night I think their pizza is very good. Oh the husbands went out on Harleys that day with Renee from Big Twin, my hubby does it whenever we are in aruba they had a ball, he takes them all over the island and to Charlies for lunch.
