    Our trip Aug 10th-Aug20th

Sorry this took so long to get out, been really busy at work and at home.

Push back at Newark Liberty was on time, second in line for take off, and by 9:15 we were on on our way. First class seating is so nice. Arrived 25 minutes early, blew right thru customs and as usual waiting for our bags. Got the same cab driver we had back in April, what an ear full.....lol. Arrived at the Radisson and all the smiling faces are still there. After checking in, we headed to the beach to see what hut we could get and rented it for the time we were there.

I will try and remember anything I can about the diners, the merlot might have something to do with it.

Friday night at the Pago Pago, my pan seared tuna was fair, my dw chicken was dry and dd was fine.

Saturday at Papilion, great meals,my dw and I had beef bourguignon and dd had a pasta dish which she was great, a/c was barely working inside, they brought a fan over and that did the trick.

Sunday was at Screaming Eagle, great meal again, I had jumbo tempura shrimp, dw and dd shared a salad, I had fish and dw had a steak and can't remember what dd had, don't remember what was for dessert.

Monday was at Windows on Aruba. That had to be one of our best meals, dw had tenderloin with the port sauce, done perfectly, dd had chicken and balsamic she enjoyed and I had shrimp and scallops, great meal and desserts was excellent.

Tuesday was at Barefoot. Dw ordered pork chops, the were dry over done, dd had pineapple chicken which was very good and I had tenderloin tips which was very good.

Wednesday was at Passions on the Beach. I know I had fish but thats about it and dw wife maybe had beef and dd had chicken or maybe pasta. Great meal.

Ah.... the Flying Fishbone on Thrusday.....This is quite a story, short version......had 7:30 reservations, arrived 10 minutes early, was told it would be a few minutes due to the fact that nobody was getting up from their tables, beautiful sunset that nite.........have a drink at the bar, have another, a few more minutes, well the manager comes over apologizing about the long wait, we went with the flow of the evening and finally sat down at 9:00pm. The manager couldn't do enough for us, well......drinks, apps, meal, desserts, capachino......we asked for the bill....no charge.....we tipped the waiter a nice amount and talked about it all the way back to the hotel....thats what you call taking care of your customers....

Friday nite at Anna-Maria's. Brought our friends with us who arrived on Wednesday and they couldn't say enough about their meal. Chris and Anna take pride and are passionate about their food. The meals were excellent as usual. We visit them everytime we come down.

Saturday was at MJ's. A little warm that nite with a tease of a breeze. Apps, meal and dessert and coffee. Great meal, everyone enjoyed it.

Last nite, Sunday, at the Sunset Grill. Great meal again, changed our reservation 3 time because we weren't sure if our friends were coming with us, but they did.

The other things......car was rented from the 11th to the 19th, got to the office of Toyota car rental at Play Linda and was given a 8 year old van instead of my Sienna that I requested because they didn't have one to give me. One trip to the grocery store and I decided it was going back Sunday morning, I already spoken to Hertz. Well, Sunday morning there was a couple dropping off their Sienna and I got my rental. Nice ride I have to say.

Two weeks prior to our trip, I called the air traffic control tower at the airport, told them who I was and arranged a visit up in the cab on the first Monday on the island. As a former military controller I just wanted to say Hi and find out how they ran their operation, and how they got their training. Yeah, we could handle it, no problem......a big thanx to Mr. Nelson and Mr. Lou for giving me this opportunity.

Well thats about it for now, I'll remember something later on that happen, until next time, the countdown has started for the next trip to the "one happy island"

We were not looking for a free meal or anything, it was a great thing what he did. Eleven days was wonderful, now to do two full weeks.....it was great being up in the tower, I hope I'll be welcomed back in the future....have a fb friend in the tower now....
