Went to fishes and more for dinner last night and it was very good as usual. They now have "local" specials where you can get an appetizer, entree and a desert for $40.00. DH had the special and started with beef carpaccio, seasoned snapper and cream brle for desert. I had my usual fried grouper and both are served with augratin potatos and steamed veggies. Service was a little slower than usual but everyone has a bad night every once in a while. Went to the Hyatt for a while and didn't do too bad until the machine goes in its take back mode so we packed up and went to Alhambra. Came back with all our money so it was a good night.

This morning (Tuesday) DH went down to get our palapa and found the beach flooded again. This time it is bringing in seaweed and it is almost to the road. Not sure what is going on but waves are ridiculously high and I will not venture in today so everyone is making it a pool day today. I can see the waves slamming from our patio. Check out the casa Del Mar webcam and you will see what I mean. Julio's water sports just got set up yesterday and now it is flooding again, poor guy. Well, pool day it is so until later....

We just found a map with the waves on it and yes, you can see how it is effecting Aruba. Prayers for those now in its path

Do you know if they are doing the Food Truck Festival this month? They had one in the lot by the Trop Casino but I don't remember if it was March or October. Arriving Saturday and look forward to it.
This month is restaurant month in Aruba so most of the restaurants have a price fix meal on their menu. Already have reservations for Passions and Tulip (our Favorite)

Spent the day at the pool yesterday and walked down to the beach a couple of times to check things out. A palapa from further down eagle beach was already washed away and ended up down by the Amsterdam just caught up and rolling in the waves. Another came down from the same area and was broken up by the waves and several (crazy) guys hopped in and pulled it up on the beach. It was just amazing out there yesterday. We were here when the last big storm came about 5 years ago and it ate away the beach but within a day or 2 Mother Nature put it back together. We went down last night for sunset and just sat and watched the waves come in. It is so amazing how fierce the water is and it is actually relaxing to watch and listen to but very sad for all that have to clean up. We saw on facebook that they need help trying to save all the starfish so we are going later on this afternoon to see if we can help and to check out the beaches on the high rise. DH took pictures and video but unfortunately I can't figure out how to get them on here but he did post them on the la cabana FB page. The water is still red flagged and waves look big from my patio so pool for awhile then go help the starfish and check out the other beaches. Until later......
