Thanks for the report. Yes I've had the ribs at the islander grill and they are not bad at all. One day when I was really hungry I ate the whole rack..

Well, vacation is over for us and I apologize for not keeping up with our trip report. This years vacation was shall I say different. It didn't start out very good and it seemed like we lost a week or so between the storm, rough water and since we are beach people, too much time at the pool. Having said all that, next thing you know, we are in our last week and have to squeeze in a lot of stuff we wanted to do and restaurants in our last week. To summarize, we ate at fishes and more one last time, which was very good and went one night with all of our friends we met over the years to chalet Swiss. The meals ranged from rack of lamb, shrimp scampi and the steak meal for two ( can't remember the name). All were delicious except for the lamb chops that were very small and tough. A great night with good friends but the last night for some. That week all of our friends started leaving little by little which puts me in a sad mode knowing it will be a year until we all meet again and realizing we are at the end too. Went to barneys again, which we love, took a day off to pick up souvenirs for the grand girls and had cubas cooking for lunch. Love their Cuban sandwiches. Hit the crystal casino and made a donation but the seaport finally gave us back half our money we deposited over the last couple of weeks. Why does it always decide to pay when you are on your last couple of days? I don't know, but we'll take the money and run, lol! Our last night we went to our favorite, yemanjia. Had potato truffle soup (to die for) flank steak with teriyaki sauce and a skillet dish with steak. Also tried the retox martini which was delicious. Enjoyed it all and still remains on the top of our list. Spent the last morning moping on the patio, said goodbye to our favorite bellman (Ernie) and headed to the airport to pout in the crying room. Both flights to Arizona were uneventful (thank goodness) and arrived home at 1am Aruba time. Our two kitties greeted us (I was afraid they forgot us) and all is well. Weather is still in the mid 90's here which doesn't make me happy but it could be worse, right?! So until next year.....

thank you C and B for taking the time!
i am glad that your kitties remembered you.
when we get home after being away for a few days or longer, our cats are all over us and it eventually becomes annoying and bothersome.
i think that i would rather they forget us

i am shocked that you left the seaport casino with money.
i have never known anyone to win in there.
leaving with a recovery of half your money for your 3+ weeks stay is a win imo.

again, thanks for taking the time and enjoy that 90+ degree weather.
our 90 degree weather has come to an end and we are now in the 70s.....kind of a rude awakening.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
