Paul and Andrea J. May 6 to 19

    Whew I am tired.

Let me preface this by saying i am typing on my ipad as the macbook will not pick up the wireless signal.
So, please be kind and not report the typos to me

Our flight to Aruba from Orlando was uneventful and a FULL flight.
Smooth and easy and we arrived on time.
We had kind of a tipsy sideways feeling on landing as the winds were in excess of 40 mph and we were told it would be bumpy.
It was a weird landing and as i said, kind of tipsy and sideways.

Immigration was a breeze and our bags were waiting.

Stopped at duty free to pick up a few things and we were outta there.

We are staying at Bananas Apartments up near Tierra DelSol and the place is nice.
Our apartment is large and very clean and well stocked.

I will post some photos of the area over the next few days.

Tonight we are meeting a friend for dinner at Hung Paradise and then an early beddy-bye for us!

Have a great night, glad you arrived safely after such a windy landing. Enjoy your (I"m guessing) tomato soup and egg rolls tonight (lol). Sleep tight tonight you have lots of fun ahead!

Glad you got here okay. I totally agree that the first day is a long one. As we were getting ready to land the pilot said something about not touching the doors over the wings (exit row). I really don't want to know what happened but I believe they had some sort of signal go off.

Curt..i will post some photos, later

Here is a brief description of the place.
There are at least 5 "apartments"....all but 1 are 1 bedroom units.
Full kitchen but paper products and soaps need to be from the renter.
    The pool is 4' and is a typical backyard inground pool, maybe a 18 x 30 ?
it is perfect for exercising, floating, water walking but not lap swimming

the hot tub is comfortably warm with nice jets and is CLEAN.

    our unit sleeps 4.

the bedrooms are the only air-conditioned areas, but the fans in the kitchen/living room suffice.

    all have large nice patios.

    the grounds are amazing.
right now there is are 2 flocks of trupials and parakeet-like birds i am watching.

a car rental IS necessary if you plan on exploring.

the owners are Dutch and are very gracious and hospitable.

    price very reasonable ...VERY!

off now to lacabana to bring some gifts to friends, pick up some beach chairs, head to the bakery and vegetate at arashi.
