our wallets are a little lighter tonight as we both made deposits.
went to the radisson casino and it was dead and we were a little uncomfortable being some of the very few in the casino at 8:45pm.
then regrouped and went off to the marriott where we contributed to their bottom line
earlier today we spent some time at eagle beach in between lacabana and pbv.
there were still some waves, but not as heavy as past few days.
then to lacabana pool and pool deck for a few hours to meet up with some nice folks.
(as owners at lacabana, we can get a day wrist band that gives us access to use the pool/lounges etc)
we only stayed there for a couple of hours as there was no shade. the strong winds, prevent the umbrellas (although anchored securely)
from being opened. by 3 pm we had had enough sun and made our way to king ribs for take out dinner.
$21 buys, a large chicken platter with 6 pieces for chicken...3 thighs, 2 drumsticks and 1 breast, 2 scoops of mashed potatoes and corn and plantain.
we bought 1 and there is enough left over for paul's lunch tomorrow.
before we ate, we took refuge on the hammocks and snoozed in the shade and breeze from 4 til 6!
tomorrow, we have a busy day....dentist at noon, beach at 2 and bugaloe at 5.
dinner tomorrow will be chili and cornbread that we brought from home rock solid frozen.
we'll need to hit up Lings tomorrow too as we are out of fresh fruit.
we need our apples!

Hey Andrea, if you were to go down the street away from the beach on the same side of the Banana Apts, they were building this house with all these Roman or Greek statues. We were wondering if they finished that house or if it is even a house or some kind of luxury apartments. You can't miss it. We are just curious because it looked so out of place on Malmok Weg when we were there.
I don't really like the atmosphere at the Radisson casino. It's small. It reminds me of a cruise ship casino during off peak times. If I had won there, maybe I would feel differently..lol.
Here's hoping your luck turns around soon.
Today was Arashi beach only for an hour this morning.
Still a bit windy, but tolerable.
Waves were present but not bad at all.
We had dental appointments at noon, (no cavities YAY) and spent the afternoon in the pool at the side listening to an audiobook.
We headed over to the Bugaloe and met up with some incredible folks!!!
Ski Chris....real name Chris and her husband. VERY NICE PEOPLE
NIKKO..real name Jane and her husband and college age son....again, VERY NICE PEOPLE
DR DAVE...real name Dave Nice guy who has been here a week and is teaching @ Xavier!
The Buglaoe was a great spot, but it is loud!
We could barely hear ourselves think!
What a cool place to hang out and listen to some good music and drink and eat too!
When it came time to head back to Bananas , Paul and I decided neither of us would be a good designated driver....we hopped in a cab and will retrieve our car in a few hours......we are sipping hot tea now and thinking about car retrieval and maybe a trip to Hyatt to donate
Next door to the Bugaloe is the Riu Palace and the original "GRAND" building has been gutted as well as the timeshare "suite/apartment units" facing the beach. A large project.
