    we have found our spot

we have been checking out this spot for the last number of days was just way too rough.
before we headed down to eagle beach this morning, we too a look at boca catalina beach again.
this beach is 1 km from bananas (2/3 mile approx) .
again, no beachgoers there at 9:45....but it appeared to be a bit calmer than previous days!

the water was cool to start (brrrr) but we got in and stayed in for an hour....watching the beach fill up with others.

we had our sand chairs and our picnic lunch packed...it was delightful.
i came back to here for a potty break and to make a couple of drinks in our nalgene cups and am heading back now.

boca catalina beach is a great spot, clear water and a number of large shade palapas.

so that's it for now , back to our little piece of heaven.

I went there once to snorkel. The snorkel trips actually stop there. I was snorkeling and didn't see hardly any fish. Then a catamaran pulled up and people got off the boat and were snorkeling. So I swam up to the cataamaran thinking that must be the spot. Sure enough I saw a lot of fishes.

    wednesday may 13

weather again is awesome.....still windy but not as bad as it was a week ago at this time.
we ran a few errands early.
then to boca catalina beach for a few hrs.
the waves were a bit more forceful today and paul and i actually took it quite slow getting in and out of the ocean.

we took a ride down to casa del mar to visit AFR-Aruba flea mkt booth and to buy a few souvenirs.
they have some lovely christmas ornaments and nice aruba tee shirts.

we intended to go to ventenas for an early dinner at 6, but we just were not hungry.
snacking all day at the beach is the reason
    so dinner never happened tonight.

made a slight profit at the crystal tonight. yay

tomorrow we are either going to arashi or boca catalina again and then sole mare with some friends who are at the renaissance ocena suites.

Excellent on the casino winnings. Tell me more about the flea maket at casa de mar. My mother likes those type of stores to buy t shirts for the her Grand Kids. What days, hours do they operate and where are they set up?
