I use Quickie Lickie any time I am in Aruba for more than a week. You can't beat the convenience of just dropping off a load of laundry and having it done for you for just a few dollars. And, yes, what a great name!

Another glorious and beautiful day here on the island of Aruba.

We got an early start and snorkeled at 8:30 or so at Catalina Cove. Lots of fish and a number of turtles.
It was quite rough and well....I had to get out of the water

We then drove down to Lacabana and made camp at their pool under the open and blowing fiercely umbrella.
Both Paul and i are listening to some Stuart Woods' audiobooks.....Standup Guy is what we are currently on.
We should finish this book by noon tomorrow and move on to a Patterson...Kiss the Girls.
We'll have completed 5 audio books in this trip!

We like the audio books as it allows up to keep our eyes free to people watch.

Forum member Ace recognized my mug and came byfor a hello!

When the winds became bad enough that the umbrellas had to be lowered at about 1 pm we called it a day, made a quick trip to Lings
and then back to Bananas for some shade and floating in the pool.

Dinner was here at our apartment.... dutch pea soup and ciabata bread.

Marriott Casino was kind to us this evening and we broke even......... and we played slots and poker for about 2 hrs.

Tomorrow we hope to do the same, minus the sea sickness while snorkeling.

Dinner guests coming tomorrow night......a pizza and beer night here for the 4 of us.

We have not had any rain and the island is quite brown and the cars are very dusty.

    May 17 Sunday

As we wait for our guests to arrive i thought i would write

Wind was again pretty intense today. I am finding the wind to be such a pleasant event.
(not looking forward to 90+ degree humid and hot windless weather in florida)

The morning was spent IN the pool and the later part of the afternoon in the ocean at Boca Catalina.
    Many Aruban families there.

We just picked up pizza for our little pizza/beer fest.
Looks delicious...from Pizza Bobs at the Trop.

Later tonight.....coffee and dessert at Marriott Surf with some friends from FLA who just checked in.

Tomorrow is our last full day and we plan on spending it here at Bananas, reading and floating!

Gee time goes by quick when one has fun..
Yes Andrea it is hotter than heck here in Florida with min. rain too; no breeze and I sure do miss that breeze in Aruba.
Enjoy your last day... Was just thinking about those yummy dutch pancakes and wish I could have some right now with my coffee
    before going to work.

imo the Pizza Bob pizza from the tropicana location was without a doubt the worst we have eaten in a long time.
2 large pizzas one plain cheese and and one sausage.
    pretty lousy

That's lousy. I have been seeing so many posts lately mentioning Pizza Bob's I figured it must be something special. Back off our list.

You'll need to have something wonderful tonight to make up for it. Enjoy your lazy day!!!!

Well, just came back to edit this because I saw your post about an earache!!! Hope you get some quick relief and get to enjoy the rest of your day. Maybe sit by the pool with a couple of Margaritas!!!
