The breezes are light and very few gusts....love the gusts!

It seems that we have had rain in the pre dawn hours, but only a few drips during the day.
    No drips today.

No ships were in town today so that relieved the crowds and traffic downtown.

We spent the day at the lagoon beach, hopping into the ocean and the pool.

We did not see Tino (Cyclone Promotions) today as weekends he is off from his job at the Ren, but busily tending to his entertainment business.
We have seen him a few times during the weekday and he is looking SUPER.

Dinner tonight was at the Hung Paradise with friend Kathy (forum member SUGAR).
We talked a lot about her "retirement" here in Aruba...........she is busier now than she was when she worked.
Kathy is the backbone and the breath of the Animal Relief Foundation here in Aruba.
Stella, (forum member billstellar) also works her tail off when she is her 6 mos a year.
These ladies as well as a few others donate their lives to helping the animals (dogs and cats), educating the folks about spaying and neutering, fostering, adopting etc.
There are many animals that need permanent homes.

    Ok, pet topic end.

    Tomorrow...........we may sleep in.
i love the pet topic! I plan to work with dogs when we spend more time on island. If I could change one thing down here, I would change the attitude of letting dogs run free in the roads. We've seen a few near misses this trip and it breaks my heart.

She is beautiful! I remember her from your precious vacations to Aruba. All fingers and paws over here are crossed for her that she and her kittens will find a loving and caring forever home.

We used to see photos of pups that were up for adoption but haven't seen one posted in ages. Is that a sign that things are improving, or is it no longer practice to post them? I so wanted to adopt a pup but couldn't convince Tom. Still I think the posts gave them exposure. Sorry if I went to far off topic!!

    Sunday Nov 16

I am going to be brief...........bursitis in shoulder has been a bit problematic for the last couple of weeks and today it is pretty tough.

    Weather today AWESOME.
    Quite breezy which i love.

We spent the day at the pool here at the Renaissance.

We met ArubaMark and his lovely family today.
    Nice people and incredibly friendly.
It was so nice to see them!

This morning SinterKlaas and Piet (many Piets) arrived by tugboat and paraded down the main street.
Lots of kids, lots of music and much fun!
I loved watching from our balcony.
Santa's sleigh (had wheels) was pulled by a horse and it was a nice event.
Then the party and music made its way to linear park/surfside area.

    Dinner...........we ate in leftovers .

Early night at the Alhambra, broke even!!!.........visited with friends there who were doing well on Let it Ride.

Now back here for the NE Pats on tv.

    Tomorrow dentist visit.....then the beach!

Andrea, did you had a chance to take a ride with the streetcar during your vacation? Are there any updates on it? Thanks.

my sore shoulder is not what has been holding us back from trolley.
although we are staying downtown and close to the trolley.......we have been doing other stuff like the beach or the pool or spending time with friends.
tyically by the time we leave the resort, usually after dinner, the trolley is back in the car barn.

I understand. So much to do, so little time.

    Have fun whatever you do!
