    Monday May 13
    Great weather continues!
    Breezy and sunny!

We snorkeled at Catalina Cove and it was a little rough but we saw lots.
No pictures though as we have no underwater camera.
Lots of small colorful fish. No turtles Plenty of eels and a couple of small barracuda.
I was getting a bit seasick after about an hour so we called it a day.

Dentist appointment was moved from 4:30 to 12:30 so that was great to get it done and still have some pool time in the afternoon left.

Went to Amsterdam Manor Beach Bar aka Passions Beach Bar and met some very nice people including forum member Pegmeister and her dear hubby. all nice folks in attendance.

    Buccaneer
Dinner was at the Buccaneer. Extraordinary!
We had a great seat next to one of the large tanks and were entertained by the many fish.
The restaurant had a lot of diners.....surprising for a monday night and i was glad that we had a reservation.
Paul and i both had catch of the day........grilled barracuda. (mild and delicious), and the twice baked potato was delicious.
Appetizer was a nice shrimp dish with a creamy coconut sauce. Holy cow delicious.
The owner/manager, Vasty Munzenhofer told us that they served 600 guests yesterday, mother's day!!
Buccaneer is always on our list and never disappoints.

tomorrow to Scott's Brats for breakfast and then back to Catalina Cove for some more snorkeling.
    Til tomorrow.......

Safe travels to ArubaLiz and BaltimoreBilly
    Thanks Ricky59

    Tuesday May 14

    Weather HOT and almost cloudless.
    Nice breeze though!

We spent a good part of the morning running a few errands....over to La Delizia bakery for a couple of croissants.
Visited SCOTT'S BRATS and we had a bloody mary and breakfast sandwiches. Deeelicious. (Paul no drink as he was the designated driver)
While there, eating and chatting with Leslie and Scott (Leslie on this forum is Luvsun) we watched probably 15 folks come and go.
What a tremendous business! I give them so much credit. Lots of blood sweat and tears have gone into their endeavor and they deserve every ounce of this success they have attained.
They get 1 day off a week and I can only imagine how tired they must be.
Paul and I enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches and eventually headed off to Super Food to buy some toothpaste and catfood.
Yes, i have a collection of cats i am playing with and feeding here at the Renaissance.
I have turned into a .......OMG ...........cat lady.

We finally got back to the Renaissance with our supplies and collapsed into the pool with our noodles.
No laps for me, just vegetating in the pool like an almost beached whale.

Dinner.......Ok, i have to say it. I am SO tired of dining out!! Seriously. Come 7 pm all i really want is a PBJ sandwich or a bowl of cheerios, put on my jammies and sit my fat bottom on the sofa.
    But I digress......
Off to Ruth's Chris we went.
We had the Dinner for 2 Special.
    We each had .....
    caesar salad
4 oz filet mignon, stuffed boneless chicken breast and crab cake
    creamed spinach
    potatos au gratin
    spilt a creme brulee
    cappuccino

the place was nice, service wonderful, food great.
what i did not like..........hated actually...........the entree is served on a 500 degree plate.
the contents of the plate were sizzling and spattering.
we both had to really protect ourselves from being burned.
my rare steak (yes i love it mooing) was too hot for me to eat and continued to cook on the hot plate.
i moved it onto the bread plate to prevent anymore sizzle and prevent it from overcooking.
but, suffice it to say, dinner was good.......but i am not sure i would return.
imo, lg smith, madam janette serve better steaks.

marriott casino and alhambra........we made small donations.

excellent! how can one not feel badly and try to help? turn a blind eye? you get a gold star from me!

from what i have been told by the renaissance housekeeper, these 2 have been trapped, neutered, spayed and released back here at the renaissance. i dosed them both with frontline for cats and that may help their fleas....for about a month

not heading to ren island today.
both paul and i slept lousy and decided to lay low here at the pool.

    safe travels terry enjoy

my husband calls me the cat lady here at home. we have three cats ourselves but we have a feral cat that comes every morning and evening and I feed him. now we have a kitten and its mommy that come in the evening after the other cat leaves. so I leave food on back deck, on front steps, whatever. I don't care what the neighbors think. I prefer animals to kids anyway. lol....

Yes they order and sell the plates. The plates are made by the same company that makes the real tags for the cars here. If you want a plate contact forum member Luvsun
