    Pegmeister's trip 11/23 to 12/4

Aruba is awesome! Just checked into the Radisspn so I thought I would try doing a report from my phone. Here's the recap from our week at the Divi
Monday. Logan security was quick and it was a nice 4 1/2 hour flight. We zipped through customs at Aruba and were on the beach less than an hour after landing
when we checked into the Divi they didn't honor our request for a room in the Veranda building but we decide not to complain and just go grab a bite to eat. Halfway thru lunch staff came in an said they had to move is cause the room had a leak. So... I went to the desk and negotiated for a room in the Veranda building. Happy, happy, happy!!
    Tuesday. Nothing but the beach
Wednesday. More beach. Dinner at Red Parrot. Got to see ou favorite waiter Yaldo then stopped at the bazaar where Tom picked up 5 Hawaiian shirts. Count them Five!!!
Thursday. We thought we would go to Hollywood Smoke house but they were closed for the holiday. We ended up Matthews for lasagna. Stopped at Alahambra and came out a little bit ahead. One thing I noticed this trip at the Divi were the number of people who would strip down to their birthday suit to change. Really people!!!
Friday. We did the Black Pearl snorkel cruise. This was a vacation highlight. Thanks Cindy O

The Radisson is a beautiful property. They even have robes for you so no nakedness! We found a spot in the shade to relax and get acclimated.
I booked the cyber sale for next year all on my trusty Iphone.

Ok, Tom has gone to the casino so I have time to catch up.
For clarification, the strip down was on the beach.
Now back to the Black Pearl. We really enjoyed it. A
nice slow ride to the snorkel site with a special punch to quench your thirst. Tom and I both snorkels for the first time. The ladder into the water was simple to negotiate and we would go again.
Saturday. We just lived at the beach. For dinner we went back over to Hollywood Smokehouse. Tom had the ribs and I went for the pulled pork. They do North Carolina style so the meat is not sauced. They give you their bbq sauce and hot sauce to put it on how you like it. The meat had a nice smoke and we just loved their sauce. We would recommend it. Prices were cheap.
Sunday. Last day at the Divi. I grabbed a palapa early so we got quite a lot of beach time. Too lazy to grab a cab and go to dinner so we went to the buffet. I have to say they did a good
job on their renovation and the food variety and quality is quite a bit improved.
Monday. I had packed last night so we had a few hours at the beach. At checkout they change your wristbands and we could have stayed the day but I was anxious to check out the Radisson
We arrived at the Radisson at 12:15 and they had a room ready which was a nice surprise. We quickly could see how much more active this resort is compared to the laid back Divi. I booked 7 nights on Divi's cyber sale for next November. I think if we find we really like the Radisson then I'll also book some nights here.
For lunch we walked over to Scott's Brats. It was nice to see Leslie and Scott and i just had to try that doc's best. Yummy!
No beach today but I reserved a palapa for tomorrow and Wednesday. Decided to just pay for it so we didn't have to wait in line.
That pretty much catches me up but I'm sure there are things I forgot

I'm glad to hear that you are having a wonderful time. We encountered quite a few people stripping down to their birthday suits on Eagle Beach, when we used to stay at Paradise Beach Villas. They were cruisers from Europe. The buses drop them off there, and many of them had no modesty at all. It was always quite a shock to us, and most of them were not the types that should be showing off their birthday suits!
