Do understand that there is always 'operating expense' and 'investment' involved with video poker...... I certainly didn't take it all home!..... but definately took enough!

Great trip report, and great to hear about your successful exploits in the casinos! I'll try to keep the run of good luck going when I return to Aruba in December!

Enjoyed your trip reports, you are a very good writer! I envy you lucky folks who fly direct out of Boston, I so wish we could get a direct flight out of BDL. It must be so cool to be able to get to Aruba by noon and enjoy a pretty full day and not be exhausted from flying all day. Hopefully some day BDL will once again get direct flights to Aruba.

I don't believe any day in Aruba could ever be boring. I can't believe someone would trash that international sign but I am sure it will be brought back to life again, after all it is a favorite place to take pictures and see how many miles we are all from our homes.

Congrats on your continued lucky streak at the casinos, keep up the good luck. I get how your DW doesn't care about casinos, my DH does not either but will walk over with me sometimes just to look around and sometimes cheer me on. Funny part is if he puts a couple of bucks in a slot machine he ends up winning, go figure!

Welcome back to reality I know it is hard to start counting down again but we all eventually have to start over.

Don't rely to much on this sign for distance.... after all, it lists Maine as almost 800 miles from Rhode Island!!! Sure is fun to see though!

I have no socks on today and I've been back for over a month. Of course, men don't have the shoe selection women have for going sockless. Your daily routine sounds so familiar. I must try video poker sometime. I have had no luck at blackjack lately (except one evening at the Marriott), no luck at slots. Congrats on the wins!

We are planning our next trip for April 2015. You mentioned using Players Choice. Is that the same as arubu4u.com? I have contacted them, but would like to know the benefits of using them. Right now I have them checking the Hyatt, but I found out that their balconies are French balconies and only 1 foot wide (not acceptable for someone who spends a lot of time on the balcony). And, if you get a room with no balcony, you could end up with a very small window. So, I'm opting against the Hyatt. I've mentioned trying the Radisson to DH, but so far he's not keen, simply for the fact of paying for palapas. We don't care if it's front row; can you still get them without paying?

Player's choice and aruba4u.com are one and the same. You do not have to pay for palapas at the Rad..... but you can if you want to reserve earlier than 4 the previous afternoon.... In April, you should have no trouble getting one... the beach is bigger than the Hyatt and has more palapas. We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 years before switching to the Radisson...... and never looked back! You will not regret choosing the Radisson! Let us know how you do!
