I'll leave extensive reporting to Cindy, but here's a few:

Day on private island, weather perfect....sunny and warm.

Played bean bag toss game on island....debated taking it now glad I did.

Went to Marina Tower pool - adults only, to cool off....a nice break.

Walked to Casa Tua at 6:00. Sad news, Yemanji and the Chinese restaurant next door were on fire. No known injuries, but expect they will be closed for awhile .

Casa tua was great, everyone was satisfied. They changed the menu (more spanish than before) but still had italian. There was a favorite dish of mine that was off the menu.....but the waiter was great and had it made for me. That's service!

The new Casa Tua at the old Waterfront Crabhouse spot will be Italian (June opening?), while the existing downtown one will remain as is.

We all won at casino...not much, but better than making a "deposit".

PS - AA Flight 1044 took off and returned due to an "engine light". Renaissance was swarming with Bostonians waiting to check in around 8:30 last night.

    FROM CINDYO...
Tip #1...don't let kids take computers on vacation..Tip #2...don't let kids read facebook on vacation...tears again yesterday...cuber bullying by ex boyfriend and his new Best friend. Jen in tears all nite...Please give me strenght to get her thru this GOD. Daughter #1 announces that her boyfriend doesn't want to go to his prom...DRAMA here folks, big time drama....thank GOD she was asked my someone in her school as a friend to go with him..My poor stomach doens't do well with this stuff.
Anyway, yah, smoke pouring out ofYejamni, hard to tell exactly where the fire was, but it wasn't good. Bad air all nite.
Casa Tua is a hidden gem downtown...love that place. Sangria, greek salad, and fettucine allfredo were all outstanding. Happy eatters with us last nite. Casino again, I'm done with that. I hate wasting money, rather spend it on jewelry.
Today we're headed to Dutch pancake house for breakfast, timeshare meeting at 10am and then shopping...Maybe that will cheer those moppy faces up. I am so glad my parents are here and enjoying aruba, I am also glad she can cheer the girls up.
Looking outside and it looks a little gray..I know this will pass. More later

So sorry about your drama. Wish you could tell them that this too shall pass, but you know it doesn't do any good at the time, does it. Bless their hearts, and yours as well. I hope they cheer up soon, and enjoy that beautiful island. Tell them that they are on "ONE HAPPY ISLAND" LOL I am sure that won't help either. Take the darn computers away, those guys are just trying, and doing a good job, to ruin the vacation. What JERKS.
Enjoy your vacation!! I am sure you will.

That's CindyO talking. Me? Dad's are different....love my daughters more than I love life itself.....but, this is kid's stiff. God bless them, they'll be fine.

Just pass me another drink! Intake is up to manage drama!

Take away and lock up the 'puters: Facebook, bullys and prom issues will all still be there when they get home. Enjoy your parents and hang in there.

Amen! As I can attest from our past Aruba vacation, Martinis are an excellent device in managing drama. Have Cindy join you.

I too have two daughters -- sometimes you wonder why you were given the challenge! LOL! Everything is great til they reach 14! Now, we have the 26 yr old and her two little girls (payback for her hee hee) living with us after a divorce, and the 30 yr old is back with boyfriend. Oy! It just keeps going.........
Hopefully yours will finally relax and enjoy where they are! Boys can be so mean! And oh the drama! I agree that computers are a vacation distraction, even found that out for myself! Every heartache is worse for the parents -- "we're only as happy as our least happy child" --?
Good luck and have yourselves some great fun!

From Cindy O - Our day today consisting of walking downtown, fighting the crowd there ( 3 ships in), buying a new battery for my camera and robs watch, heading back to the pool. We did nothing all day...
Dinner at MJ's was outstanding. Asked for Kasi but he wasn't in. Rob had surf and turf and loved it, I had the lamb chops, and it still is the best Chops I have every had.My folks had salmon and tenderloin. Loved all our meals.
