Sounds like a great trip so far. Really sorry to hear about Yemanja. We love that place. Looking forward to check in tomorrow around 4:00pm. Maybe we will bring better weather with us!

Your reports aren't boring - you're on vacation!!! And you have a group of followers living vicariously through you because we can't be there so keep them coming!

Today was sunny all day....and warm for Aruba.

Another day at Renaissance Island. While Cindy and the girls either sunbathed or floated in their tubes, I played the "bag toss" or "corn hole" game I brought for the first time.

Around 3:00, we had a party poolside with all 30 of us (yes, thirty, as we had 3 additional surprise guests) Tomorrow, 5 of our party leave, so today was the only day that our entire group will be here.

Went to Pinchos this evening, a pleasant evening with good food and service. Great sunset view.

Ended the evening with drinks at Cilo. Very nice and reasonably priced.

Love reading your trip report. We are back 1 week today, and I can hardly wait for our next trip in April 2011.
The weather was a bit odd for the last two days of our trip. (not what we are used to), but it doesnt really matter when you are in paradise!

As for our report....sorry, it is boring....and that's not a bad thing!

We spent most of the day on renaissance island and had dinner at paddock (all you can eat ribs night). They were very good this year, better than last. Don't order the sangria though...cindy had it and it was vile.

This has been a great year so far....everyone is having a great time and getting along which, based on last year's experience, is not always a guarantee.

Ps - our last "member" arrived wednesday....she was at airport on time and flew non-stop on jet blue. No luggage as of 10:00 last night. Shame on jet blue.
    update from cindyo...
4 of us sick after ribs next morning....luggage found in cancun...strange...it helps when your husband works for homeland security, he found it before jetblue...they did nothing...beware all on jetblue.

Friday.....spent all day poolside followed by dinner at Marina Pirata.

Annual visits to Aruba since 1997 and never went to Marina Pirata....shame on us! Great setting, nice sunset, good service, great seafood meals and very reasonable prices. Marina Pirata is a "10"!

Four of us packing for a one day sleepover get-away at Marriott Stellaris (free night with Marriott Points). Won't be posting until Sunday night when we return to Renaissance.

Plans include walking the high-rise beach; pina coladas at Westin (best on the island); celebrating our daughter Jen's 17th birthday wherever she chooses (Happy Birthday Sweetheart); watching Red Sox at Champions; chillin at pool tomorrow morning; Jolly Pirates cruise and Sunday evening chicken wings at Hooters.

Rob and Cindy, I am so happy that you found one of our favorites. It really IS a well kept secret on the island. Were you able to get a table next to the water and see the fish?
