Okay! Crystal Casino was good to me Monday. Doubled my money.
Had my Caribbean patties st Iguana Joes.
Tuesday after some pool time we went up to the high rises to try Scotts Bratts. Okay. DH liked his hot sausage.
Bought the new Alex and Annie Aruba bracelet. Had a fun time with bartender, Eric, at Pelican pier. Donated money to the Hyatt☹️.
Prices at Pelican pier for drinks very reasonable for what you get.
Swiss Chalet last night. DH last night. Their one Swiss dish, veal, was wonderful. Having lived in Switzerland for a few years, gave the host a hard time about no Swiss food. (Just kidding him) he said when they first opened they had Swiss food but no one ordered it.
DH flew home this afternoon. Have my leftovers from last night😄 For dinner.

    Ahhhh jewelry!
where did you buy the bracelet?

Enjoy your last few days on your own.
Are you comfortable being by yourself?

I am glad that the Crystal was kind to you.

What does the Aruba bracelet look like? Is it with the round Aruba symbol? Silver or Bronze? I am excited, I think it was the Alex & Anni one I saw last year at the jewelry store at the HI and will check again when I return in December.

Being on my own is fine. Talk to a lot of people.
Anyone staying at LaCabana should do the wine tasting. It is a hoot. Only three of us showed up yesterday. We had to work our way thru 4 bottles of wine😋. Catherine let each of us take a leftover bottle bAck to the room.
They opened an Alex and Annie store in the high rise area. Anyplace you go is the same price. The new Aruba bracelet is shiny gold and the charm is in colored enamel.
Very cloudy today some places might have rain. No wind yesterday or today to speak of.

Home again. Doing trip reports on my phone was a pain. I was dreading returning home on Saturday with airport lines but much to my pleasure, there were none. If I didn't stop to wander around the duty free shops and have a bite to eat I could have been from Taxi to crying room in 15 minutes. Could have stayed on the beach another two hours (my plane was delayed an hour).
We enjoyed being in Aruba during "Eat Local" month. Enjoyed many new restaurants (Barney's, Riccardos, Matthews,LaTerrezza,Passions and Bavaria) as well as some old favorites, Tulip and Chalet Swiss.

I guess if you take too much time writing is doesn't post your whole report.
Basically the most disturbing sign I saw in Aruba was from Lings ( groceries just like in the States). Please you are in a foreign country. If you have to have American brands, American groceries, American Restaurants( Tony Roma's McDonald's etc) stay in America.
The young Aruban taxi driver I had was dismayed that that is what Americans expect and not what Aruba has to offer.
You can't keep Aruban's down. The bartenders and waiters at the Pelican Pier repaired most of the pier themselves instead of waiting for contractors. The restaurant part at the end of the pier was still under repair but should be opened by now.
