Heard about that crazy wind, my husband thinks it would have been cool to watch but it sounds like it was a little scary especially when things start flying around and off walls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and write some more reports. I give you credit for even trying to write on your tablet, I cannot do that. I'm thinking of bringing my laptop this year, still debating. Guess I'll see how much room I have, started packing today!
Pelicans Nest has become our favorite beach bar. Our husbands sound similar. Jon tries to imagine himself driving a boat for a living. Have you jumped off the pier at happy hour? We have before, but so far not this year.
As for that wind the other day, it seems to have brought in a lot of seaweed. Nothing really to complain about just more than normal according to some Radisson regulars.

Happy Birthday Tracey! Sounds like you found a great way to spend the day. We like the Pelicans Nest as well. After reading your reports I'm once again rethinking our restaurant list. I think we've decided to just wing it and ditch the list. Although I still have to get to Scotts Brats for that Doc brat.

I like the idea of a list but just having the ideas has helped. I think tonight we are going to try Tango, but we'll see. The bad part about winging it is that you miss out on places like Wacky wahoo where you really ned a reservation.
More on the Radisson. The wifi is great. Im typing this from under a cabana atthe pool. We missed out on a palapa today, they were all full. The pool wasnt crowded early but we like having our own spot. The cabana comes with 4 water bottles in a cooler full of ice which is convenient for making mixed drinks too. I think it was a $25-30 fee. The shade is great, with a ceiling fan and loungers. The layout of the pool makes it seem less crowded.

Hey Tracey - no we haven't jumped off the pier at happy hour but would love to see you guys do it! Maybe after one too many buckets of Brights we would end up falling off the pier, either way sounds pretty funny!!! Have a bucket for us ok then I will have a bucket for you guys in a couple of weeks!

Day 5 - if your are looking for restaurant info don't look here

    A few first thoughts
    1. I am embarrassed of our dining choices or lack thereof.
    2. It seems more humid that our previous trips. I am wonderong if I just dont remember or if its the time of year?
    3. I may need a detox or clense or something when i get home.

Okay so today started off at Salt and Pepper where we had grouper sandwiches and fries for breakfast. I think I might be groupered out at this point. I didnt even mean to order it but when Jon ordered his, I just blurted out I will have the same. I had mine on a toasted panini which was kind of nice. Our friends have breakfast included in their hotel package. They dont think it is worth it here at the Radisson. We tried to book a palapa before we left for breakfast but they were all reserved. We've heard the hotel is around 85% full, but I have not confirmed that. We decidedto check out the pool. It was nice. Then layout makes it feel less crowded. Around noon we found a vacant palapa and bounced back and forth between the beach and pool. The water in at the beach today was noticeably more clear and nowhere near as mich seaweed on the sea floor.
Lunch was served by the Gilligans server. there is a reason they say dont feed the wildlife. Our guys fed iguanas some olives and french fries, and I,swear they went and brought back their iquana friends. We were surrounded. Later on my friend was eating chicken wings and one got up on her lounge chair. I was watching and laughing from the pool. Our husbands made a quick exit. They tried to watch football at Bugaloe but there are no tvs. They went to Gilligans but found it too expensive. We decided to shower and move on. Wewent to Touchdown Sports bar above Tomato Charlies area. We walked up the staors, and the outside only had 2 games and was dead. We decided to leave but a waitress stopped us,and convinced us to try nside. That was much better. It fekt like we weree at any typical sports bar you woukd find at home. We had wings, nachos, and potato skins. They have beer specials, 5 bud lights for $20 or local beer for $15. We watched some games but since our team is on a bye we really didnt care. Great atmosphere but total American experience.
Next up gelato from Gellitisimo. We all enjoued our choices. After ice cream we had espresso for some and mudslides for, others. The mudslides were cheap, only 6.50 for 2, with grey goose. Im guessing it was happy hour there.
Next stop was the beach for sunset. Its been cloudy or something in the evenings so while the, colors of the sunset are beautiful, we have seen the whole sun go down yet.
Sunset on the beach ended quickly with bug bites for everyone. Im not sire what kind but they were biting.
Next up , Radisson casino where we won! We went bavk and forth between 3 card poker and roulette staying about even for a while. We did a quick stop at a,slot before,we,left, and hit pretty nice. We are close enough to even to keep gambling a few more nights.
Our group of 4 headed off to bed but when we got to our room we realized it. Was only 8. It was a blessing in disguise that our tv doesnt work. We decided to head back out.
We stopped at Sopranos piano bar. My thoughts here is that it has potential, depending on the talent. The girl this month is very taleneted but her voice,is,not , my cup of tea. I like it there and will go back. They have, nice cozy couch areas, made for 2 or some for larger groups. I see the appeal here. We ended up leaving and going to Hard Rock for their live music, and ,a few drinks. We always enjoy the entertainment here. Even if you dont want togo to Hard Rock, you can hang outside and listen.
Well we have reached our 1/2 way day. I am truly in relax mode.
I am really hoping to make ot to happy hour at AM tomorrow but our 1st time friends are considering a tour and we want to share that experience with friends so it really jist depends what time we get back.

We really like Salt and Pepper, but grouper at breakfast, I don't know. I'm thinking we may be better off paying to reserve a palapa though to make sure we have shade. Guess we'll just have to see. Enjoy your day!!!
