i am always concerned of those walking from the hi rise to the restaurants (lindas, barney, sole mare, wacky wahoo etc) on palm beach rd.

glad you took a taxi regardless whatever walking shape that you are in!

From wacky Wahoo to the Radisson and Hyatt area is an easy, walk with sidewalks. we were, done befor sunset so i cannot comment on the lighting. Our plan was to hang out in that area for a bit but we,decided to just take a taxi to the Stellaris Casino. It is walkable for someon in better shape than me Im sure, but I would walk, along the hotel strip then up the, street that way.

    Wink Tuesday snorkeling and dinner

This is one of the best days we have had in Aruba on any trip. Our morning started early with a bagel on the balcony. We had a pick up from Aruba Bob at 8:30. I plan to write a full review of this trip when I get home. If you are a snorkler this trip cant be . missed. We had a group of 6 but it felt like a private tour. We went out with Aruba Bob himself and his daughter Kyra. The water was a little choppy which made me nervous at first but once we got going I was fine. Those water scooters really do all of the work. I cant stress enough the good personalized service we received on this tour. Everykne on our tour had snorkeled before so we were all pretty comfortable. I was faking it at first because I am always really nervous trying new things and wasnt sure how I was going to handle such a long snorkel. I had only done 30 minutes or so at a time previously. once we got going it was great! The fire coral and different colors of the fish were breathtaking. The water is so clear, I am having trouble putting it into words. They take a ton of pictures so i am excited to see those and will share a few when I get them.
After the tour, we got dropped off at the Radisson so we could have grouper sandwiches at Bugaloe. And lunch and a few drinks then started walking down the, beach. Stopped in at Pelicans Nest to say hi and have a beer. It was still early and hot and we desperately need to apply more sunblock. We tried to find seats near the pool but no luck so we went back to the room to cool down and rest. This ended up being a great decision because I was able to get us a reservation for an early donner at Quinta del Carmen....believe the hype people, OMG!
Before Dinner we hit Moomba for a few drinks. There watermelon mojito is now my 2nd favorite. Its really sweet though, so one is usually enough. We still had some time to kill so we stopped in at the the Holiday Inn casino where I turned $20 into $200! I mean really, this day is pretty much the best day ever!
Dinner at Quinta del Carmen was phenomenal! We shares the calamari which was just okay until you dip it in the sauce they give you...that stuff is delicious. I had shrimp pina coloda and Jon had grouper Caprese. Both dishes were perfect. For dessert we shared the Banana one that is on the menu. It has banana and caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I am running out of adjectives to explain the awesomeness that was our dinner! Jon always gives me a hard time about message boards but today he became a believer! I told him we wouldnt have found this place or Aruba Bob Without this forum.
After dinner the plan was to go listen to the Joyride band at Bugaloe but there were no seats. Darn kids struck again, there was a huge table of pre teens tha should've en in school but instead were running around and taking up great seats. Standing wasnt an option so we left. We walked over to Sands Bar it was emptybut theywere playing music we like so we had a few drinks on their comfy sofas and listed to some hiphop.
Stopped in at the,Occidental casino which I think is the worst we have been too. Made a small donation and got out of there fast.
Back to the room after a long wonderful day!

what a wonderful story!! what a wonderful day!!

there really are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe Arubabob's Snorkeling adventure.
Kent is ia heck of a nice guy too and a forum member.

i hope others will give the snorkeling adventure a try. it is so worth every penny and an experience of a lifetime.

glad to hear that QDC surpassed expectations.
    yum

    keep winning at the casino.

    thanks for sharing your story.

Your description of your Arubabob experience is exactly why I booked an outing with them during our upcoming April trip. I booked a private session because my hubby loves to snorkel and we've always done a sail/snorkel cruise. I don't do boats anymore due to the problem of being "sea sick" for a month once back on land. I love to swim, am not afraid of the depth of the water and was a certified life guard as a teenager. However, I hyperventilate when trying to snorkel. Don't know why so I booked a private with Arubabob so I won't hold others back as we try to get me acclimated to the mask, water, fins... I've heard the underwater scenery is so much better where they snorkel. Now that I read your report, I'm really excited to try it.

My hubby also rolls his eyes when I told him "I read something on the forum today that we should try"....
