Love my vacation vault! Glad you are liking it too!

The island sound magnificent! Someday I'll get there

Good luck with the Djucu! I think I will be just as excited as you when you finally get your hands on one!

The Djucu shall remain elusive. I was so close this time! Went right when it opened at 10:00 am. A quick look around and I didn't see anything so I asked the woman who was working and showed her the photo of what I was looking for. Apologetically she told me that they had sold out of all her pieces last week. I did get her business card with an email address. I think when I get home I'll contact her and see if she's still doing it. Maybe I can work something out where I could ask my SIL to pick it up when she is here in January. Oh well, I decided that entitled me to that bowl I liked at the Mopa store. It's hard to describe, kind of modern folk art I guess.

Oh no, Peg! I was hoping so much that you would be successful this time! At least you got to meet the artist and have her business card. The bowl sounds tempting!

No worries Peg, we are all rooting for you to find it one of these years! On the flip side, you cannot stop coming to Aruba until you find it, so hopefully it will take a long while to find, an excuse to keep coming back

So today was spent on the beach while Tom spent his time at the casino. I've lost interest in casinos by this point while Tom prefers them to the beach

Our final night's dinner was at Wilhemenias. I plan to do a wrap up when I get home on all the restaurants but I'll say my meal was off the charts good, Tom's was okay. There were some negatives but I think that goes along with being open only a few months. The biggest disappointment was going there specifically to try the langoustine only to find they didn't have them and were substituting scallops. Much better to put on your menu "(if available"). The shrimp dish turned into a scallop dish. My tenderloin steak was just amazing, absolute perfection. It was an expensive night for it not to be on point yet, I would go back.

Packing can wait until the morning as we don't really need to head to the airport until 11:15. It's always sad for vacation to come to an end but I'm looking forward to picking up the dog and getting the house ready for the holidays. Really not sure where we'll stay next trip. Thinking maybe Manchebo.

So... For all my friends still on the island, Enjoy the rest of your vacation! For everyone else, may your countdowns move quickly until your next trip!

Thanks, Peg, for all of your posts. It's been fun vacationing with you. I loved opening my computer each morning to read your reports. Have a safe flight home. If you think of any more questions about Manchebo, don't hesitate to ask.
