    Day 4:

After hitting the gym we headed in the direction of Baby Beach. Made a pit stop at Charlie's Bar for a snack and a beverage. It was our first time there...interesting place. Had the conch platter.

Moved onto Baby Beach. Quite a few changes since we were last then in early March. Parking area and guard rail system are a nice update. Looked for signs of new resort construction but didn't see anything yet.

On our way out we did notice the construction at JADS Dive Center so drove over to check it out. We usually stop at the restaurant located there anyway. The owner of the property, the Father, took us on a tour of the new restaurant expansion that was well underway. It will include an infinity pool facing the beach and a full service dining area. Stayed for a beverage and moved on.

Our next stop was Arubaville. We were hoping for a nice sunset but it was not to be. A bucket of ice cold Balashi Chills, 6, for $15.00. The was was good but nothing exceptional. The location is worth the trip though.

That wraps up day 4. Only a few more left.

    Day 5:

Had the usual morning activity and then headed to Ling & Sons to pickup a few things. After triying to compare it took Super Foods I think we still prefer Super Foods.
Spent a couple of hours pool side and then took a ride around the interior of the island. We're amazed at the variety of stores and shops that are spread throughout.
Made our way to the West Deck for a late lunch. We tried to get in there this Spring during the day of the Carnival Parade but the kitchen was closed down, so we only had a beverage that day and left. This trip we had the Funchi, Keeshi Jena and Potato Salad. Everything was very good and washed them down with a busket of Balashi Chill.
From there we drove up to Mathews and watched the sunset.
We're not gamblers but stopped by the casino on the way out and made a small donation.
From there we stopped at Fermin's for a beverage and then back to the condo to call it a night.

Forgot to mention...we had our first sign of rain today. Five minutes at pool side and it was over. We survived!

    Day 6:

We had our usual morning and then headed to Mathews for the 12-1 Happy Hour and a light lunch. Moved onto Eagle Beach for some sunshine. It was another gorgeous day! The wind was lacking and the sun abundant, so we only stayed an hour, as the wife couldn't manage the heat. We headed back to our pool to get her cooled down and enjoyed another hour of sun.
Tonight was our dinner at The Flying Fishbone. We had a reservation for 6 and I thought we had left in plenty of time. The traffic was terribe, even on the back roads, as it took us almost 55 minutes to get there, arriving 10 minutes late. We were seated promptly though and greeted by our server. They brought out the dinner rolls, only 2, with enough butter for 6. Not that we're big bread eaters, but 2 rolls the size of tangerine. The girl that brought the water and rolls continued to keep our water glasses full but never asked if we wanted another roll during out half hour wait for our entries to arrive. The wait for dinner is understood, but 2 rolls!
I ordered the grouper and the wife ordered the barracuda. The grouper was fine, although it was two thin filets rapped in bacon. The wife's barracuda couldn't be finished, after she bit into 3 fish bones that were long enough to use as tooth picks. I'm exaggerating, they were only an inch long! The topper was the four fish scales that had made it into her bed of mash potatoes! End of meal...
I politely played ignorant to our server and asked if the bones were common to this type of fish and she urgently replied no, then I exposed the fish scale in the wife's napkin. She was going to talk to the chef. At least 30 minutes goes by and she brought our check, explaining that they discounted the barracuda dish. It amounted to 33% off that item. It would have been nice if the restaurant manager, who was very active in the dining area, had stopped by and at least said something. Needless to say we've scratched this one off of the list, as there are way to many other choices on the island to give this one another chance.
Headed back to the condo for some in room dessert and called it a night. Tomorrow, beach day.

    yuk
    that is so very unacceptable

a discount of 33% on the cuda is insulting.

would you consider giving the restaurant a call and speaking to the manager directly?

imo the entire barracuda meal should have been removed from the bill, they should have sent over dessert and coffee gratis and encouraged you to come back again.

there are many good seafood, good ambiance restaurants on the island and FF should do their darndest to make it right.

i wonder if your server even mentioned it to the manager?

Wow, that's not how I would hope the situation at FF would be handled. Glad the rest of the trip sounds great!

That's too bad about Flying Fishbone especially after almost an hours drive. Hi e your desserts at home made up for it!

The way I look at we politely gave them the opportunity and I'm not one to complain. It just made it tougher to enjoy my meal of fish, while I watched the bones and scale pile up on the empty bread plate, and then see my wife trying to sift through a bite of her meal, fearing more debris.
Someone must have approved the discount.
