Last we we knew the new owner took over previous to our last trip this past March. His name is Dave and also owns Mojito's downtown. As far as I know he is still the current owner.

    Monday, day 3.

After the the morning routine we decided on another road trip. Someone else on the forum mentioned that the facilities at the Natural Bridge had shut down so we thought we'd check it out. How things have changed from years past. The building is boarded up and taped off to prevent people from entering the construction zone. There were a half a dozen people up on the roof jack hammering away, but we couldn't tell what they were trying to do. The place if virtually a ghost town. From there we stopped at the Gold Smelter Ruins. There were a few people there and someone had brought in a portable trailer with food, beverage and a rest room.
Heading inland towards the airport we stopped at B55. It has it's own charm and view, but the food was really lacking, so we've added it to our list of been there done that.
We made our way back to Super Foods for a couple more items and then off to Casibari Cafe for dinner and live entertainment. Upon arrival we're told that the blue's band had canceled...starting to see a pattern here of a day late and a dollar short. We stayed for dinner and it was really good. The owner came over and apologized for the lack of entertainment, but the dinner made up for it. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and we'll definitely go back again.
Made our way back to the condo and called it a night.
Day 3 turned out much nicer than day 2. Let the forward progress begin...

That does not sound too good. It seems to me it's rather a demolition of the building.

    Tuesday, day 4.

After are are usual morning activities we decided to take a tour of PalmAruba. If you want to stay inland it is a very well thought out project. We were looking into ownership, not rental, but we've decided that it is above our budget. We could have bought into it at pre-construction prices, but we were extremely leary, as we almost bought into the Acqua project. What a disaster that would have been!
Tonight we thought we'd try something different and go to a movie, yes on Aruba...After the tour we had a little time to kill so we stopped at the casino at the Holiday in. The bride could sit at the slots forever, me, I can't wait to leave. We played for a little while, got a couple of free beverages, and walked away up a few dollars.
The Taste of Belguim has a movie and dinner package, so we gave it a try. It's a three course meal, their choices, and a movie ticket for $28.00pp. The food was vey good and we'd do it again. Oh, the movie ticket is good for a month, so if you decide not to go it can be used on another date.
We crashed after the movie...the sun did us in today.

Palm Aruba's website doesn't ever come up right for me. I've tried to look at their place before, just out of curiosity. The Taste of Belgium thing sounds like a good deal!

It's been pretty much under construction since it went up. Last time I checked you could actually get room rates and make reservations.
