In March I was told that it was dead in the water and perhaps the Marriot group would pick it up. we haven't heard anything yet this trip. Looks like they've added a few more Windows, perhaps just to keep the powers at be off of their backs.

I remember about 6 years ago sitting in the hot tub at the Surf Club and watching the Crain work over there. They maybe have half of the windows in but at the rate its going, they might have another 6 years!!!

    Wednesday, Day 5.

This afternoon we took a ride around the islands interior, still trying to learn the less traveled routes to downtown and beyond.

We stopped at the Flora store by Price Smart, just to check it out. Really neat place. They have some amazing Christmas displays. I can't imagine how much time and effort it takes to put them together.

We we stoppped at the West Deck for a late afternoon lunch. It's one of our favorite places We really enjoy the small plate concept and enjoy their view.

From there we went to the Seaport Casino. The parking is free behind the Seaport Mall. We came out a little ahead and cashed out.
It was sunset time so we grabbed a bench behind the casino to catch the view.

We called it a day and had dinner in the condo.

    Thursday, day 6.

Our mornings are still the same...gym, breakfast and pool time. We plan our afternoons while lounging at the pool, at then they usually change when we leave the development. We could really get used to this care free, spur of the moment days.

We stopped at one of the new developments going up on Eagle Beach, Le Vent. The sales staff gave us a tour of their model, why wouldn't they, starting price on the units they have left are $611,000.00, in case any of you are interested...

By then it was mid-afternoon and we were hungry, so we pulled into Red Fish. It was another of our first time stops and we really enjoyed our meals. The service was attentive and the prices very reasonable.

Then it it was time for our daily casino stop. We both made small donations and left. At this point we're still up a bit.

Our evening ting ritual has been to catch the sunset, so we drove to Arashi and took a walk on the beach. We've yet to see the colorful sunsets that we experienced a few years ago, but we're not complaining. At least it isn't snowing!!!

    Friday, day 7.

We we took an afternoon drive and headed downtown. We decided to give the Side Bar a try. The service was very attentive and food was really good. We'd go back there again.
We wandered over to the Seaport Casino. That didn't last long, as we both lost our allocated $$$ in a short period of time and left. There was a cruise ship pulling out so we sat seaside and watched it go by.
From there we headed to our spot at Arashi for sunset and then called it a day.

    Saturday, day 8.

This iafternoon we headed to Mathews for happy hour and to see if our favorite bartender Ping was still there. It amazes me how she remembers who we are and our names too, especially with all of the people She comes in contact with.
We returned to our car and found a flat tire. We called Ricky from Wheels2go and he arrived promptly to Make the exchange. We watched the sunset while we waited and had another beverage. No worries...
Our our way back home we stopped at Ling & Sons. Their store to me seems that improve every time we go.
Time to eat. We headed to the High Rise area undecided as to where to go, and ended up the Tango Argentine Grill. Food and service were both very good. We walked around a little bit trying to rid ourselves of that overfull feeling and called it a night.

Happy to hear you enjoyed Tango!
That's a great endorsement for your car rental, stress free even when dealing with a flat tire. Sounds like a great day.
Not sure when, but we will be back

    Sunday, Day 9.

This is afternoon we took a ride to the lighthouse to check on the construction process. All we could see was the scaffolding being constructed. It looked to be about half way up. We went into the restaurant there for lunch. There were a few people at the bar and a couple of tables filled in the dining room. We stood there for ten minutes waiting for the hostess, bartender, waitress, cleaning lady, anyone....! Then walked out.
All for the best, as we decided on Cafe 80. We love this place. It's right up our alley. You can pretty much order anything you want, as long as it comes with fries...I ordered an item off the menu that didn't come with fries and guess what, it came with fries! We had a great time and enjoyed our food and beverage.
We're really enjoying these lazy and relaxing days.
