    Monday, day 10.

Today we took an extended tour of Gold Coast, which took a big chunk of our afternoon. We learn more and more about owning property here on the island very time we visit a community.
We decided to take in another movie at the Cinema 8. They run a special M-W for most showings. It was $9.00US for two adults.
After the movie we stopped at Smokie Joe's for dinner. We'd eaten there once before on a previous trip and thought we'd try it again. Service and food we're very good, also reasonably priced.
    Called it a day...

    Tuesday, day 12.

Today was road trip day and we headed to Baby Beach. This is another one of our favorite stops. They continue to improve and expand the parking area. Big Mama's has also expanded since our last visit, with additional seating and a bar area. We we're going to stop there for lunch but moved on. We stopped to check out the new construction over looking the water at Roger's Beach. They currently have one building going up. I believe it was called Serena.
We stopped at Waka Waka for dinner. We took advantage of their early bird special, a three course dinner for $19.95pp. We've eaten there once before and their food and service are consistent.

Wheels2go has always been great for us. We've already reserved with them for our next two trips.

That's a great endorsement for your car rental, stress free even when dealing with a flat tire. Sounds like a great day.

Spur of the moment is great. The only problem is trying to recall what we did while catching up with the trip report. I'm actually shuffeling through out credit card receipts as an aid...

Thanks for your trip reports. A nice mixture of fun and relaxation.

Which route did you take to and from Baby Beach?

We we took route 3, to 2, to 4, to 1, to Bernhardstraat, to Staringstraat, right on Quillstraat, to Sero Colorado. It was a 45 minute commute each way.

Thanks! Sounds like a nice cross country trip.

As I was not familiar with the route numbers anymore, I looked it up. I remember route 3, going from the Palm Beach area direction to Noord. I stayed once there in a small apartment complex, close to Wacky Wahoo and Linda's Dutch Pancakes.

From there you took probably a right going onto route 2 direction to Tanki Flip where you went onto route 4, direction to Paradera which finally leads to Santa Cruz and where you finally reach route 1.

And from route 1 you continued going direction to San Nicolas until Baby Beach.

I have been to all those places, just from each kind of different directions! LOL Back then, I had no GPS, only a small street card from Aruba. I noticed that the route numbers on the street card would not match the actual route numbers! LOL So it was quite an adventure but also lots of fun as I enjoyed exploring the island.

On one of my excursions, coming from Oranjestad going direction of Savaneta, I took a left at the Balashi factory (probably route 4) and took a right on one of those small streets, going down a steep hill. It was gorgeous!

Thanks again for your trip reports, brings back so many memories!

Gold Coast is very nice, but to large of a community for us.
