Hollywood Smoke House won out. I really like their Q. Also found out that you could purchase their sauces to take home so I got the BBQ and hot sauce. The guy who started waiting on us was a character. Seemed like he may have been at the bar first. Another waitress kind of nudged him out and said she would take care of us. Also stopped and checked out Twist of Flavors. It was quiet there, hostess gave us a take away menu to check out. Lastly we grabbed coffee/tea and some pistachio ice cream back at the Divi.

Today absolutely flew. It's hard to tear ourselves away from the beach and I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is here.

Morning all! The excitement of the day; watching a guy clearing the coconuts from a very tall palm tree while the ladder, the tree and him were swaying in the wind. crazy!! Off to the beach, talk later!!

I've often thought about a "girls" trip, but I think this is the one place that I couldn't go without DH.

This past April we considered not renting a car at all. We ended up getting one for 3 days and the cost was cheaper than taxis to and from downtown and to the lighthouse for dinners. Not that $10/$15 is much of a savings, but that equals another drink or and extra few dollars at the casino.

Have fun. I know the feeling of trying to pull yourself from the beach. Toughest thing to do all day.

Great, thanks Peg. Glad to hear it is still open with that wonderful breeze.

Think I like the tile out front better in the evening. They have blue recessed lighting going around the border which looks nice. Once the landscaping is complete it will compliment the exterior more.

I have tons of pictures of the guys doing this 2 years ago, it was one of those things I was afraid to watch but on the other hand couldn't stop watching! DH loves to see this crazy stuff, it really is amazing how they do this. Thank goodness those if you get hit in the head with one of those coconuts it would not be pretty (lol) although perhaps could knock some sense into some (ha, ha)

DiviDiviFan if your husband likes crazy stuff he would have loved the group on the beach today. There were 4 couples under the palapas that were closest to us. The had horse head masks that completely covered their heads and they took turns taking pictures of each other in different poses. They got the biggest chuckle out of themselves. There may have been a few drinks involved.
