Tom was kind of itchy today and didn't want to hang out at the beach all day. So after just a few hours we headed downtown. It's been ages since we've been downtown so I left him at the Crystal Casino while I went out and poked in the shops. I walked down to check out the Rennaisance Marketplace to get a feel for the area as we'll be staying at the Rennaisance Ocean Suites in November. Located Hung Paradise and a few other places I was interested in. After an hour or two I headed back to collect Tom at the casino where he was up over $100 so my timing was good. Decided since we're in the area it would be a good time to try West Deck. That was a really good decision!!!

We also make a trip downtown once or twice per trip. I love walking around the marina. Did you see the trolley at all? I don't hear much about the trolley and still have not seen it running. I want to try West Deck for sunset time this year just have to figure out where it is located. We probably have walked by it but never noticed? Glad you were able to make it downtown. We always go into Paddock as well and sit out back with a cocktail. Love to look at the cool stuff people leave behind and the cool things hung on the ceilings as well.

The trolley wasn't running today, or we didn't see it at least. I was surprised because there were a few cruise ships in. If you head downtown from the Divi, the West Deck is on the right hand side a little ways past the Rennaisance. It's walkable from the Rennaisance. If you go there by taxi from the Divi it's $9.

The trolley ran everyday but the kings bday when we were there.
Stop at the little shack green building. Best smoothies ever. Try the truti fruti.. all mix melons and so huge.
She keeps the blender by your side till you drink some out of your cup to fill it up... lol
So many locals were walking there so I had to check it out.
When on the trolley we came to the last stop and some gossip singers came on to pray and sing in spanish..
    very nice.

We did do the Paddock for a little sunset dinner... some local say it is very nice for a sunrise breakfast.
Small place, with very reasonable prices and on Wednesday or Thursday (forgot which one) is all the ribs you can eat... yummy...

Thanks Peg. Definitely doing this year, I meant to last year but must have forgotten to look for it (lol) will put on my "to do list' this year. Need some new places for our photos and sunset spots.

Last full day of vacation as we head home tomorrow. Big breakfast today. Had my eggs Benedict freshly made, not premade. Just. Told Anita I wanted it on a bagel and I would be going over to toast it. Plan to spend the whole day on the beach. Looks like the winds and waves will cooperate today. The biggest decision will be what to do for dinner, the buffet or off resort?

Jackie, it definitely helps to have another trip booked for November. I really look forward to our Aruba trips. Vegas for next month but that's more Tom's vacation.
