    Trip Report

This is my first trip report. I do enjoy reading everyone's entries so here goes.
Aug-3-17 Arrived Aruba via Delta. First time flying Delta from BDL-Hartford with connection in Atlanta. Great flight, free movies and excellent service .
Tropic Rep was waiting for us with car keys etc. Excellent service. (Had a dead battery during the trip. Hans came out the next am early and charged it) What a great guy to deal with)
Stayed at Costa Linda . Just beautiful renovations and excellent friendly staff. Beach has eroded some since last year. Eagle Beach is amazing. Husband and I walked 7-8 miles a day from beyond the Tam to Costa Linda. Saw turtles hatch. Weather was often cloudy and some rain. But it was still amazing. Only had 2 clear sunsets.Due to the trop. storms, the current was rougher with lots of waves. Ate at our favorites: Madame Janettes(ate there 3 times. Great!!!!),Matthews(so good), Champions,Mulligan's, Pinchots Grill and the new Water's edge 19N @ Costa Linda.Wacky Wahoos (one of our favorites) was on vacay for 3 weeks. What a bummer!!!But..... All meals were just great. Chocolate Cake at Madame Jan was to die for!!!!!Breakfast at Costa Linda is great. Specials:eggs, potatoes, french toast, pancakes or crepes along with sausage and bacon all for only $5.95 can't beat it. Fabulous blueberry pancakes also.Ate crepes at Dutch Pancake house downtown. Was not my favorite and would not recommend it. My friend really wanted pancakes and the server assured us they were pancakes but low and behold crepes. We had lots of relaxation, some gambling, just love the "new Alahambra". Missed the entertainment at the Marriott. I used to like hearing the singer. The Ritz looks so big!!!It should be open next year. Lots of construction and downtown tons of traffic at peak times. They are working on tracks for trolley. We went to Baby Beach, lighthouse and toured island. Some shopping but nothing really new. I bought a pandora charm that is silver and says"I love Aruba" just love it!!!!Just love talking with all the people. They all work so hard and really give you their hearts. Just love their kind ,friendly ways. Another enjoyable vacay .It's such paradise and look forward to my next visit next year. Thanks to all who keep me updated about Aruba. I appreciate your time. Bon Bini!!
