Sorry for long delay in posting. Relax mode and haven't turned the phone on much.
We are at the low rise area at
La Cabana. We love Eagle beach and it's the only place we have stayed at over the years.
Thank you everyone for your kind and positive words! We are happy to be here and to just relax.
Monday, up early for DD run, enjoying the patio and watching the cars go by, people walking/ jogging. The beach looks so pretty! Today is a pool day - loving the winds and relaxing. Played bingo but not a winner. Enjoyed the pool and happy hour drinks. Chatting with Cathy from activities and catching up.
Dinner at Benihana tonight. We arrived after 7 and we were surprised that is was empty. We had a great dinner and chef was so much fun. It started to fill up after 8pm. We left about 8:45 and it was now packed.
Walked down to mall area by the high rise hotels, watched the light show and made our way back to resort.
Played 20 bucks in slots at Glitz. Lost it pretty quick! I will stay out of there. Lol
Palm Beach area is so busy now, compared to when we first came down (12) years ago. Downtown seems to be the busier spot.
Tuesday beach day all day- went to DD for coffee. Relaxed on patio. Toasted bagels for breakfast, made sandwiches for lunch to take to the beach. Went to visit with Jenny from the shop across from activity center. She is a doll!
Waves a little higher today, daughter loving it! Strolled the beach in each direction. Headed back to the room about 5:30 to shower and try and decide on dinner. Decided too tired to really go out so we ordered in! Ordered from the Islander Grill and then went down for Cinnabon. It was nice to eat in and just chill. We played a few rounds of billards. Resort is pretty low key at night.
Not many folks around.
Up again a little after 6. I have such a hard time getting up at home at this time. Lol.
DD run for coffee!
Loving our patio and view. Interval, thank you for the best exchange!
Total pool day! Close to winning bingo, maybe another day. Truly enjoying the warm sun, winds, and pool.
Went up about 6 to shower for dinner. We have been going to iguana cantina for fajita night the last few trips. We arrived about 7:30. We were seated about 7:40 extremely slow service tonight. We ordered food about 8- fajitas didn't Come out until 8:45. Server didn't come to check on us, we had to keep looking for him. Disappointed in the service, food was ok. Much better service and food in previous visits.
Walked down to the holiday inn, love walking around their pool and property. Hubby went to check out black jack table. It was empty so no playing tonight.
Back to the resort via cab.
Up after 6:30 - decided to walk the beach. We left At 7:30. Brought my camera and cash. Thinking we might get hungry along the walk. We made it up to Aruba beach club, found Ricardo's and decided we should have breakfast.
I love it there! Great service, breakfast, and view. The coffee was so good!
We might try and go back before Sunday. Daughter collected sea shells on the walk back. I was helping and we were both wet so if we go back, told her we will put our suits on. Lol
Made it back to the resort and it's now a little after 11am. Boy I am tired now! Legs are super tired too.
Going to make it a pool day. Went to visit with Jenny, while hubby taking a siesta. Daughter making her rainbow loom bracelets to give to Jenny. Enjoying the breeze!
Made our way over for bingo. A quick dip in the pool first. Daughter goes up to purchase our cards. First 2 rounds were very close for me! Now it's the last round, you have to fill entire card.
Not doing to well with my cards and daughter sitting like a mouse. I ask her how are you doing, she just nods like blahh. Lol. Last number called I24 and the chick screams bingo! She dashed to see Nixon for her 80 dollar winnings. She is a happy child! She even ran to the activity center to tell Nelly. She grabbed our bags and was like I have to get to the room and tell daddy. Chuckling all the way to the room because she is moving so darn fast.
We relax for a bit and shower for dinner.
They don't know where we are going and asking questions. We are celebrating 20 year anniversary.
Bully picked us up at 5:45, we arrive at Barefoot at 6pm. WOW what a beautiful place. We decide to eat on deck but have a table right up front. I looked over menu prior to coming and emailed to see if they could make a chicken parm dish. So our server already knew what we would order. We also had the chicken pinapple dish and daughter had the penne pesto dish. They came over with champagne! That I didn't plan. Everyone there is so nice and coming over to the table. Hubby is so surprised as well. The view and food is top notch. Watched a few planes come in. Sebastian is our server, he is great! We have Keylime for dessert and daughter gets the chef selection which is a taste of different desserts.
We are so stuffed! This is a place to visit for sure! Thank you all for all the dinner suggestions.
Bully picked us up and made it back to relax.
Trip is winding down and I am not ready to leave yet!
