We pulled ourselves away from the beach early Sat. afternoon to head to Lings. They were still well stocked. The last time that we went on a Sat. afternoon they were out of bread and milk. We had joked that it looked like the stores at home, right before a blizzard. We found everything that we needed, and got back to Renn. in time for happy hour. After happy hour, we walked over to Yemanja for dinner. We like dining on the patio, but this time, there wasn't much of a breeze, so it was a little hot. I got the grouper filet, which is stuffed with cheese. It was fabulous. Hubby got the picanha, which is like beef medallions, with three sauces. The meat had good flavor, but was tough, even though it was prepared med. rare. He didn't enjoy it. I gave him half of my grouper, he ate most of the sides, and all of the bread, so he had plenty to eat. We ordered the chocolate souffle, which usually takes 15 minutes. This time it took 1/2 hr. When it arrived at the table, the server told us that the first one exploded when they took it out of the oven, so they had to start over. I was actually glad that it took longer because this gave me time for the food to digest. I didn't have room for dessert right after we ate. Overall, we will definitely go back. We usually enjoy Yemanja, but won't be ordering the picanha again.

On Sunday, we headed over to the private island. Most of the palapas on the adult side were gone. I don't know if they lost some because of Matthew, or if they moved them to the family side. We ended up camping out on the family side for the day. We sat on the jetty, which had a nice cross breeze. I was pretty congested, so I just read and napped. I got in the water for a little while in the afternoon. It seemed much warmer that it was in Feb.

When we returned to Renn., we went to happy hour and then headed over to West Deck. We ordered a large order of balashi grouper fingers. It ended up being a huge platter! I only ate a couple, so hubby polished off the whole thing, along with an order of fries. We both love their grouper fingers. Along with fries and a beer for him, the total bill was only $26.00. Amazingly, he was in mood for chocolate, so we walked over to dunkin donuts, and he ate a chocolate donut.

Afterwards, we walked over to Seaport Casino. It was so smokey that we walked in the door and walked back out. I have terrible allergies, and can't handle smokey places. We spend very little time in the casinos because of this. We went back to Renn. and sat by the pool for a while, then called it a night.

Trip sounds relaxing and nice so far!

How was the crowd at Ling's on Saturday afternoon? We are debating going early afternoon Saturday or first thing Sunday.

Tracey, Lings wasn't too bad. They had a lot of check out lanes open, so it didn't take very long.

Peggy, unfortunately, the bakery (Foccaia) closed a few months ago. We really liked it too.

We just love West Deck. It's always so relaxing and the food is good. I'm surprised that the Seaport was so smoky. Last trip we spent more time there because the smoke at Crystal was horrendous.

Oh no the bakery closed!!!! Guess I'll have to find a new spot for the mango turnovers. The people that worked there were so helpful. It's a shame they closed.

Time now to sit back, relax and have a wonderful trip. so looking forward to your reports, have a nice dinner tonight.
Thanks, I hope that your hubby is feeling better. I still pray for him.
