we wanted this trip to be hassel free so we opted not to rent a car. However we didn't see the other side of the island last time so we chose the ABC jeep tour /half day. It started out fine. The other side of the island is beautiful and very different,but when people tell you the roads are rough,believe them. It was fun for awhile . When we stopped for lunch you could hear the air hissing out the rapidly flattening tire. No problem ,our guide changed it while we were eating. On through Arikok Park. Our jeep makes some loud 'clanks' but we continue onto Baby Beach. Have a great time there. About 1/2 a mile toward home the loud 'clanking' returns and our transmission is shot. Jeep undrivable. So 12 of us cram into one jeep for the ride back to the hotels. Quite an adventure. A few cocktails on the beach and we were good as new. Next trip no jeep tour.
