Trip Report with Photos - Amsterdam Manor 2016

I am really late this year but once we got back we kind of hit the ground running with summer events (that's my lame excuse anyway.)

Trip report and photos at the following link. Click on the small photos within the trip report to make them larger.

Great trip report, Amy! Do you think they're going to get rid of the customs cards altogether? They didn't even look at ours the last time we sailed through.

Thanks! You know, the fact that they didn't even look at it or take it would make me think so. Maybe the new passport readers/scanners takes care of all the information they need? Would be nice to have one less thing to think about anyway.

I can always count on the beach shot with the date in the sand and the bright with the lime! Thanks for posting. Disappointed with S & P response when you were not happy with you tapas.

I was, too. LOL!! I didn't necessarily need it taken off the bill but a "sorry" would have been nice. Oh well. I'm sure we'll be back again eventually but I just need to go back to my "stay away from tapas" approach. My husband said his two tapas were good though. Not sure if the waitress was having a bad day....she was a bit snippy.

We've eaten there twice and both times weren't very good. The second time, I begrudgingly went because our friends had read good things about it here and elsewhere and I chalked the first visit up to them having an off day (we were there for lunch). The food was tepid and the service was too. I did mention it the first time - with the same result as Amy's: indifference. Our friends were gobsmacked at the same reaction on our second visit. So... we're done with Salt and Pepper.

That's a good word for it "indifference". That was exactly it! We don't go there very often but once in awhile a lunch presents itself if we're in the area and I've always had good luck there with a burger or chicken wrap of some sort. My favorite lunches on Palm Beach will always be at the Bugaloe.

Andrea - had NO CLUE why she was yelling at me to put my bag of carrots under my shirt. LOL!! Half way there (it's a long walk from the gate to the new shelter) we figured out what the cooler was for. Duh!

i am sure that very many would have no clue either.

seems to me the sign should say:

Put your donkey treats in cooler.
    Bring cooler inside with you.
Do not open cooler til you get to area X

Then again, maybe the donkey caretaker lady (i cannot remember her name) is filming everyone as they get chased down.
Or still photography for the 2017 Donkey Calendar?

Indifference is indeed a good word Act1966
It should never be a word that is used re: restaurants or any kind customer service.
