Dinner was amazing.... we got there a few minutes early and were ushered straight to our table..... 'our usual' table in the garden close to the entertainment. A couple of minutes later, on of the managers came by to tell me Chef Kasi was at the bar.... so I went over to say hi and thank him for remembering me.... also how much we enjoy his restaurant. When we left DW and I both stopped by to see him and thank him again. We met his lovely wife and little boy.

The Chef is a good business man. He obvioulsy watches the forum and his reservations to try to reach out and connect to patrons when he can. I'm pretty easy to recognize with my avitar and forum name.... but good job....!

We started with Electric Tea, the drink of the week which was similar to a Long Island Iced Tea... but blue.... nice. No appitizers and no salads... straight to the main course.... Almond Grouper for DW and I had the Viking Steak... a 20 bone in Ribeye..... (someone had to eat it) and everything was supurb.... atmosphere, food, service and the evening.

From there to the Hyatt lobby for a bit of entertainment and a quick loss at the casion... then a walk down the beach and thru the Radisson and a taxi back to Manchebo. I visited the Hyatt casino, then the Glitz where I pick up my comp for dinner at Buccaneer and then to Ahlambra..... No wins in any of the casios.... just a bunch of donations....... bleeding a bit... but not hemoraging.

    thanks for the MJ review.
I was wondering just how wonderful it was.......glad it was as wonderful for you 2 as i expected

chef kasi is indeed a good businessperson.
he is on top of everything and is very creative.
i do love the fact that he follows the forum and when need be, makes connections with forum members.
he tries his darndest to always make things right, but does not put up with nonsense.

i hope that your dinner at the Buc is good.
mixed reviews over the last few years.
Paul and I have not been there in 2 years, we always used to love it.

if your wife likes grouper, have her try the poached grouper.
also too the barracuda is terrific too.

are you getting a wifi signal on the beach CP?

Love to hear good things about MJ's and it's nice you got the chance to speak with Chef Kasi. We always have a wonderful meal there. I'll be curious about Buccaneer as it's been on our to go list but for some reason we don't make it there. Good luck with the casinos and enjoy the beach!!

So glad you made it and have settled in to a "boring" vacation. Mojitos over Aruba Arriba's? What has the low rise done to you guys? Please keep the reports coming and good luck with the gambling!

Love the new avatar...! Also had my favorite coconut crème cake....... really wish I could eat more....... so many great choices....

We're doing Buccaneer tonight...mixed thoughts on that..... but with the $100 comp from the Glitz it's a no brainer....

Haven't even tried the wifi on the beach.... too much work.... all I do is read, get wet and doze.....!
