My entire family had there first trip there this past July and are already planning a return. I think I have enough FF miles to get us both there......woohoo. Once you go to Aruba, I believe one gets addicted....thanks for sharing your story.
My wife and I first visited Aruba in 1973 on our honeymoon when there were only 2 high rises on Palm Beach. For a number of reasons we didn't return until 2003 when we stayed at the Hyatt. In 2004 we rented a TS at the Marriott Ocean Club, where I dragged my wife to a sales pitch for the Marriott Surf Club which was being built. Against her wishes we bought an Oceanfront TS for a week at the Surf Club and have only missed 1 year when we traded for Hawaii. Aruba has become an obsession for us and I can't imagine skipping a week again. This was one of the few tiimes in 37 years of marriage where my wife actually told me that I was right.
We are booked for July 2011 and I know thinking about this and also this forum will help get my through another cold and snowy NJ winter. Aruba is definitely an addicting place for so any reasons and it is great to hear everyone's stories - all different, but with a common ending.
