Amsterdam Manor

We have booked the Amsterdam Manor for later this month, but now that I have read some of the posts on here, there seems to be hardly any comments about it. There seems to be a lot of talk on here about Divi and the Marriot or Hilton.

Did we choose wrong? We don't like all-inclusives, and or chain hotels and usually stay at Boutique Hotels. But it is always hard booking sight unseen to know if we chose correctly ahead of time...

We stay at Amsterdam Manor every year and love it there for the reasons you mentioned - smaller, boutique-style hotel, quiet, laid back, and an uncrowded beach. I'll be there again this month on 9/25.

Here are a couple of links to my last 2 trip reports (May 2010 and Sept. 2009) with photos of Amsterdam Manor. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks Andrea and Amy for putting my mind at ease.

Thanks for the links to your trip reports too. You have no idea how useful those will be!! We are really kind of relying on these types of reports to know where to rent a car, get groceries, where to eat, etc...

Stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it. Great service and location, the beach is right across the street and you can always find a spot. The people there are outstanding and you won’t be disappointed.

A co-worker stayed there on his honeymoon and loved it. I met up with them and took them to WW for dinner one night and the hotel is very nice. Unfortunately it hasn't been available when my wife and I have gone down.
