The Aruban Hotel (Formerly LaCabana)

Does anyone have any info on this hotel? I found some really good deals to it, but hear it's under construction.

Any info is appreciated.

We stayed there last July right before the rennovations were announced. In a simple word it was rather dingy. There were absolutly no public spaces to speak of and if you arrive on a Sunday afternoon you can expect a very long line to check in. the lobby is very tiny --- the front desk is only large eneough for 2 clerks, plus travel and conceriege desks. Any more then 3 or 4 people standing in line and started looking like a New York Subway at rush hour.

At the time, there were issues with using the pool at the LaCabana Villas and even the beach area. I did find it ironic that they would let us chage at the bar at the pool, but not let us use the pool.
