Bucuti
My fiance and I are staying in a bungalow room at the Bucuti Beach resort for our honeymoon this May. We have not been able to find many recent reviews on the hotel and especially the bungalow room. We chose it because our agent said it was on the quiet side of the island and they had many recent upgrades. The pictures of the rooms and beach look beautiful and the comments on the Bucuti website from recent guests are all glowing. Can anyone give me any information from personal experience or from a friends experience at this resort?
Thank you. |

You made a great choice with the Bucuti. I have been to the island many times before and I always stay at the Bucuti. The hotel is extremely clean and well cared for. The staff is very accomodating and there is lots of beach space that is not available in the high rise area. You can relax that you made a great decision. I am actually getting married at the Bucuti this summer. I usually stay in the Tara suites, but the bungalow rooms are very nice also. The only thing with the bungalow is that it is located right in front of the pool area and you see (if you have the curtains open) and hear everyone walking by on the way to the beach, pool or restaurant. I find that to be very minor and still would stay there over any other hotel in Aruba.

I am also getting married at the Bucuti this summer and also chose the Tara Suites to stay. We were originally thinking of staying in the Bungalow rooms, but I heard the same comments about everyone walking by the rooms. We ended up switching to the Penthouse in the Tara Suites and I would suggest the upgrade if you can swing it. Even though it is expensive, I figured we only get one honeymoon, so why not splurge. But if you are looking for more reviews, check out TripAdvisor.com they are many reviews on there from people that have stayed in all different rooms.

Bucuti
Bucuti is a very quiet resort. We stay at Casa del Mar a couple of resorts from Bucuti. We have eaten at their restaurant and have walked by their pool. It is so quiet by the bunglows that you have nothing to worry about. Of course, Tara Suites is wonderful, but a bit more expensive. Ask your travel agent for the daily rate of Tara Suites during the time period you will be staying. If the rate is within your budget, you will enjoy Tara Suites as they are beach front. Ask for a higher floor that has a great view of beach and sea. The beach by the way is extremely quiet :-).

I can only add to all of the above positive comments. We stayed in the main building (not Tara Suites) and had an ocean view room on the second floor. It was fabulous! All of the rooms have been renovated.
I agree that although sidewalks are right alongside the bungalow rooms, I don't think you would be disturbed. As Auntie pointed out, the resort caters to couples and there are rarely any children. So the resort in general is very quiet. Congrats and enjoy yourselves. You made the right choice!!

Just wanted to say I am also getting married this summer at the Bucuti. We chose to stay in the tara suites. I didn't want to have everyone walking by around room and plus the views from the balcony are amazing. Another plus... a lot more privacy.

Hi
I have been to Aruba 3 times (westin, and Radisson). I am surprising my husband next year with an anniversary trip. Want to stay at Bucuti resort. I have never stayed on eagle beach or at a low rise. Can anyone help me out with personal experience?? Grately appreciated robin

low rise
Once you stay on Eagle beach you won't stay anywhere else. I own several weeks of timeshare at Costa Linda, which is right next to Buccuti. If I were stay at a hotel I'd pick Buccuti. Try to stay in the Tiara suites. They are beachfront and gorgeous. The whole resort is so laid back but classy. We go to their beach bar every day for happy hour. Its the best one on the island. Never a problem getting a hut on the beach. Plenty of room between huts, not someone on top of you. Its a real vacation.
