    Stayed at Aruba Grand in "03 & it was located between the Radisson & Wyndham (now Westin) one tower of the Aruba Grand remains & is part of the RIU

    We stayed at the Aruba Grand every year from 1996-2005 (it's previous name was the Aruba Palm Beach Resort & Casino until changing to the Aruba Grand name around 1999) and during that time it was never all-inclusive.

    they actually had nice rooms, back in the day.

    yes indeed
    and their employees were extraordinary

    love the place prior to it becoming the riu.

    although i think the riu is very magnificent indeed.
    but i have a hard time with change.

    We still miss "our room" that we got every year - Lanai #220 which was on the opposite side of the pool from the main bldg and was just steps from the beach and our palapa.
