I'm off to Aruba on Sunday and was wondering how the beach was at the Hyatt. Has anyone been that way lately?

Horrible, after the hurricane last week, for whatever reason, tons of sea weed came in there and was rotting on the beach and in the water (the water was black). They actually had the beach closed there. The smell is also horrible. Sorry for the bad news. If I were you, I'd find someplace else to stay.

Yikes! I had thought that much of that would have been cleaned up by now. How recently were you there?

I'm leaving for Aruba on Sunday too - whatever the conditions it's better than being at work. If the ocean is messy - I'll be by the pool!

Anyone know how the beach is at The Marriott Surf Club? Headed there Nov. 20-28. I'm sure all should be ok by then if there is any problems. Still, was wondering.

I'll be in the Surf Club on Saturday, any info on conditions would be nice!

Haven’t heard any adverse news as of yet on the Surf Club conditions. Spoke to someone who was down a couple of weeks ago & said power was intermittent, lots & lots of rain

. At the same token, I have also read around the forum that most has been fixed & cleaned up.

No matter what, its still Aruba and will be great!
