Divi or Tamarijn

In that guests of each resort may use the facilities and amenities of both resorts...

Which do you prefer, the Divi or Tamarijn?

Why do you prefer one resort over the other?

If you have no preference one over the other, what makes each resort so special. Pro's and con's?

I enjoy the Tam more because all rooms right on the beach and you usually cn sit right in front of your room so if you are on 1st floor you can walk in and out the slider

Bunker bar is like going to your old nieghborhood bar when you were a youngin'. I'm definitely biased towards the Tam since we have yet to venture down to the Divi for lodging yet. My feel is that the Tam is a little more relaxed and laid back, if going to dinner in flip flops and a T is your cup of tea...now your talking my language. When we went down to the Divi the bar area seemed a little more "upscale" if I can use that term. Total bonus when they started to allow the usage of all restaurants, just for a simple change of scenery. All hotels, high-rise and low-rise areas, allow you to experience all the different aspects of having the choices of being on the beach, close to shopping / nightlife, quiet time, and best of all...just being in AUA!!!

Having stayed at both, I disagree completely. On the three trips we stayed at one or the other, we found the Divi to be older (very few children) and much more laid back. The age thing may lead to a slightly more elevated standard of dress, but week to week differences could easily change that.

i like both but for different reasons

as chadd said divi has less children

and imo, tamarijn is more laid back

all rooms at tamarijn are oceanfront..........(not necessarily beachfront as mother nature changes that with some regularity)

I haven't stayed at either the TAM or Divi A.I. but have been on both properties quite a few times especially in the last month. There was lot's of children at the TAM (more than usual as it was Spring break) but i didn't see any kid's at the Divi.

We stayed at the Divi our first year. My stepson and his friend were 16 and went back and forth from Divi to Tam, whichever one we weren't at. After that we have stayed at the Tamarijn, it is nice to be able to walk from your room out to the beach. We like the bunker bar and the bartenders at the Tam. Since they remodeled the pizza bar it is also nicer than the Divi. All the people we have met over the years go the same time we do and stay at the Tam.

ArubaTeresa how did you think the rooms compare between Divi and Tamarijn? We don't mind the room size at the Tamarijn. Really only spend time in the shower and the bed.

I have stayed in the same room each visit to the Tam, so I am comparing 1 room at Tam to 1 room at Divi. I thought both rooms were about the same size, the Tamarijn may have been a bit larger. The bathroom at the Divi was larger and nicer. The A/C worked better at the Tamarijn.
