Thread: Embassy Suites (Proposed or Done Deal ???) 300 rooms

    There is not much of a beach there-(we looked at the beach when we look at the Blue.) They would really have to put a lot of $$$ to make the beach usable.

    And there is the project that they want to put up between Oceania and Screaming Eagle-they want to put up a 800 room hotel, which does not conform to the set back and height restrictions currently in place to keep Eagle Beach a low rise area.

    I do not understand why the hotels are not protesting growth. More rooms will mean more competition and less bookings in their hotels.

    I can't imagine they are sitting back being quiet. Problem is they might not have much say.

    I dunno. It seems as though the current government has issues with the project, but may be unsure how to handle it due to the previous administrations actions. With Courtyard and now Embassy moving in, which are nice properties, how long will it be before Motel 6 breaks ground?
