I know that the construction is not at the Riu.....my concern is that they are side by side. Can't help but think it's going to be very noisy.

i've just read that the new riu palace antillas (old westin) is adults only - well that is how it is being advertised in the uk through. holidays went on sale today for 2015 and this hotel is shown as adults only. below is the description from the brochure, it's shown as a 5 star hotel (but that is by uk standards).

The adults-only Riu Palace Antillas is pulled up against Palm Beach, so you’ve got white sands at your fingertips. There’s a pool and a terrace for sunbathing, plus a handful of restaurants to pick between.
The hotel’s had a complete makeover, so everything’s in mint condition. Bedrooms come with all sorts of extras, like sea views, flatscreen TVs and 24-hour room service.

I am still really surprised the government is permitting it. But not my business.

Nice photo! That is the oceanfront junior suite. We stayed in that accommodation 2 or 3 times. NO better view of Palm Beach than from those rooms.

I drive by the former Westin everyday and it looks pretty deserted. I don't see too much happening there over the past 3 weeks

Is the clock on the Westin still keeping time...? That's just in case I miss the 'Happy Hour' bell for Gilligans!

We passed by there today and lots of construction equipment and fencing around. Blossoms is still open somehow in the middle of all of this...and YES the clock is still working-for now at least.
