help - oct / nov
hi, sorry i might have posted this a couple of times, anyway we are in the 50 - 60 age category, first trip to aruba, can't decide Oct or Nov. and Radisson or Marriott. We are from NJ, got great Continental Airfare ( wish Jet blue flew into Aruba from my area ) for both Oct and Nov. Marriott seems a little bit more money than the Radisson, but was told Radisson a little closer to different places to eat, really don't want to rent a car ( unless you think it would be necessary ) , however Marriott will be complete by than and looks very nice. Looking for any suggestion here, thanks.

You posted twice,read other response......ENJOY....
If you want to rent a car its very easy to get around the island, the Marriott is at the end of all the high rise hotels, but there are always taxis there waiting Last edited by DANNYO; 04-28-2008 at 07:06 PM. |

The Marriott is also close to all of the eating in the high rise area and has plenty of options on its own. The Marriott is Stellaris Casino is the furthest of all the Marriotts hotels. if you do mind an evening walk on the beach after dinner then either are good picks.

My choice of the two would be the Radisson. Right in the middle of the Palm Beach area. Can walk to numerous restaurants and bars. Very nice hotel and grounds are really nice. Somewhat less crowded than the Marriott in my opinion and I think the beach is nicer. Car rentals are not a problem and relatively cheap in Oct/Nov. You can decide if you want to rent when you get there. I am in same age group and I love to take rental car or jeep and explore the entire island. You did not mention how long you were staying or other interests. Can give more info on things to see if you like.

I agree with Phillyboater, the Radisson is within walking distance of a bunch of stuff, very nice spot, but so is the Marriott. Oh well what a tough choice to have. Any month is good, I would in October which would just get you closer to another trip rather than waiting until November!

I agree with some of the other posters in that the Radisson is more central on Palm Beach/there is more to do around the hotel than around the Marriott. Hence, I would stay at the Radisson if given the choice between the two options.

I would also recommend Radisson. As others have said, the Radisson is about in the middle of Parm Beach.
If you pick October, we would be happy to give you a tour of the island. We will be there until the 29th.

We also agree with Rad. It is more central, and while you can walk to the new shopping center and all the restaurants /shops from the marriott, it is considerably hike. Rad is very nice and great beach. We are there the 1st 2 weeks of Oct. and love it that time of year. Don't know about Nov.
