    Hilton "Upgrades"

So excited for our 4th return trip to the Hilton (formerly the Radisson). I am looking for a little advice. We book the trip and never seem to be able to find any upgrades without spending thousands of extra dollars. This year the four of us have two double beds and the price of the trip is nearly 9k. Are there reward programs or other benefits that would help us with upgrades? We'd like to stay at the Hilton in queen beds, without spending an extra 2k. Any ideas are appreciated!

Hit or miss..... but we had luck a few times at check in asking for a complimentary upgrade. Wouldn't expect anything during high season... but off season could work.

Unfortunately we have found that the only way to get the bed configuration and view you want, and guarantee happiness is the pay the price. When we risk it, it never seems to work out on our favor. We had a nice stay at the property when it was the Radisson but the cost to guarantee the tower and view , we just can't justify doing it again. Have you considered changing to a 2 bedroom timeshare? For $2000, or not much more you could get something good at Divi Phoenix or Playa Linda

Do they have a cancellation policy? I agree with Tracey that you could save thousands by booking a timeshare. If you'd like to learn more about how to so this, we can help you out. Even if you have to pay a cancellation fee, you should still come out ahead by a mile.

Wow! It's probably too late to cancel without a penalty, but I agree with the others for 9K you can get two or three weeks at several locations. Join Hilton Honors and see if that helps, the website will let you join and if nothing else you'll earn points for your next trip (do the same for your airline). And ask if there are any upgrades available when you check in, you never know...

They have 2 queen beds starting at $299 at the Hilton for the last week in September....Something does not add up. Are you flying 1st class from the other side of the world and included that in the 9k price?
