For the amount of time you spend in the room, the HI is fine. If your looking for the glitzy room go hit the Hyatt. I've stayed at both and had an equally great time at each resort.

we'll be at the HI in 6 weeks ( but who's counting?!!!) -- I know it won't compare to Bucutti, where we stayed on our first trip 3 years ago. All these posts have been helpful for knowing what to expect! We usually do exploring in the morning and then hit the beach in the afternoon -- will we be able to find a shady chair on the beach?

If you're not trying to impress anyone it's great. Last time I checked they're on the same beach as the "high priced" hotels. Have stayed several times. Usually a lot of Venezualans especially on the weekends. If you're a big drinker the AI is worth it but don't expect to be awed by the food..

We're considering the HI for our next trip
1. My wife is a vegetarian, is this going to be a problem if we do AI? 2. Fridge in the room? 3. Never stayed in high rise area, (other than the mill) what is the noise like around the HI? |
