Hotel Pricing
Will be going to Aruba for the first time this fall for a business trip. They are covering some of the costs related to meals and such but drinks and other incidentals are on us. They are having it at the Westin. So here a few questions that I hope someone can help me out with:
1) What do drinks cost at the hotel? 2) Is it better to use US dollars or convert? 3) What would be a good daily budget? Mostly a few drinks, lunch and relaxing by the pool? $100 per day? 4) What is the tipping custom? Appreciate the help! |

Thanks for the insight. After reading htrough some of this, I think that $150 to $200 a day would be sufficient?? Take into consideration I'm not doing any water sports. All I want to do is relax and Aruba sounds like th perfect place.

Imo, that would be plenty, depending upon how many complimentary meals you will have and whether or not you will visit the casino.
Dh and I do not gamble, but do eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a cheap dinner date, eating breakfast and lunch at the resort, we could spend about $120 in a day on meals or less. With a nice dinner date we could easily spend about $220 for a day's meals. Neither including alcohol. ![]()
