Hotel thoughts?? Hyatt or Westin?
We are planning our (delayed) honeymoon and want it to be really special (of course!). Along with the other question I have posted re: is there sewage on the beaches? I am also torn between the Hyatt and the Westin. I have often heard that the Hyatt, as far as a typical luxury type of hotel (and no kids with us!) is the place to stay in Aruba, with Westin being a close second.
Does anyone have any particular thoughts on this that would help us make our honeymoon perfect? Thanks! |

Personally, the Hyatt is great and can never go wrong, but the Westin I feel is much more personable and really goes out of their way to help and make sure Vacation/Honeymoon are great. It has the most restaurants on premises of all the resorts.

Imo, also consider the Radisson, but you cannot go wrong with any of the resorts along Palm Beach. No worries about sewage on any of Aruba's beaches.

That it is very hard decision. They are both great. Personally I liked the Hyatt better before the remodeling. They went from over stuffed leather to fancy modern. I really think they missed the boat at the little bar area above the restaurants. They put in the seating areas like beds. Nobody sits/ lays in them other than kids, and people are wanting to hear the music. Oh well, I am sure they paid somebody a bunch of money to tell them this is what people want.
The Hyatt is really getting busy by the street, but with the mall and other restaurants it is in the middle of it all. The Weston would be a little farther walk but not much. |
