    How do hotel pools work

Can you just walk into another hotels pool area and get a drink and swim or are there really strict rules?

Swimming in a hotel pool that is not your home resort is not allowed.
Yes, people do pool hop, but again, it is not allowed.

Yes, you can go to some of them for a drink at their pool bars.

Some of the resorts are all inclusive places and i am unsure if any of them take cash for drinks.....might be all inclusive guests only and some do sell day passes.

Pool towels are the tell-all. Each resort has their own color. So, unfortunately no pool hopping you will be asked to leave. I know... Bummer

bummer. I was kinda hoping to check out the lazy river at the marriot surf resort. You can't buy pool passes right? The marriot is the one I was mainly looking at.

The Marriott Lazy River requires a wristband and you can't get a day pass.

Surf Club, they are strict!! Not enough space for their own quests so they are always on the lookout for pool hoppers.

Are there any hotels that you can have a day "pass" at? With out paying the million dollar fee to go to renaissance island... While we are in aruba we thought we would check a few other places out.

As of last year you were able to buy a day pass at the Radisson. We ran into a Dutch couple with two small children and they had gotten day passes cause they were renting an apartment close by.
