Hyatt or Bucuti - Which One?

Next summer, my wife and I will be first time visitors to Aruba. We have read good things about the Hyatt and the Bucuti. Which hotel would you recommend and why?
I'm also embarassed to ask, how is Bucuti pronounced? Thanks everyone.

The Hyatt is in the high rise area and is one of the nicest hotels on the island...Very Expensive...But worth it if you want to get spoiled on your vacation....The Bucuti is in the low rise area and is family oriented not fancy but nice.It depends what you want on your vacation,no matter where you stay your in Aruba and you will have a great time.ENJOY.

I would say bucuti is more couples than families. I think they acutally adv as a couples kinda place. If thats what you're looking for, then this is the place. Go on arubacam and you can see the beach there. They have a cam that posts for close ups at 9, and one that scans the beach. Again its arubacam, just google it and you'll see it.

Both hotels are beautiful - but very different. Hyatt is in the high rise area and within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, etc. It a bigger hotel than Bucuti and the grounds are spectacular.

Bucuti is in the low rise area, is a much smaller hotel and on the best beach in Aruba (IMHO). Some restaurants and Alhambra Casino are within walking distance. We loved our stay at Bucuti and would recommend it to anyone. Bucuti is promoted as a couples only resort and there are very few children there, if any. The Tara Suites building does not allow children under 18 to stay there, but the Bucuti wing does. There is never a problem getting a palapa on the beach. All rooms have been renovated and are beautiful. Pictures of the hotel and rooms are posted on their website www.bucuti.com.

My vote would be for Bucuti, but you couldn't go wrong with either. It's just what type of vacation you are looking for. Enjoy!!

Are all of the Junior Suites in the Tara Wing or do you have to specifically request that location? Thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, there are 2 junior suites which are located in the Bucuti wing. So if you want to stay in the Tara Suites building, I would request that building specifically.

We stayed in a deluxe room in the Bucuti wing and it was fine for us. We faced the ocean and had a nice balcony. We preferred to get a less expensive room and spend the money we saved on shopping and dining!
